Thoughts on if my car is totaled?

I got rear ended last night by a woman going 90 mph on the highway. I took my car today to the shop and the adjuster said it might have bent to frame but he wouldn’t be sure until he tore into it. He said the quarter panel wouldn’t be dented from impact and he suspects the frame pushed into it. Thoughts on the frame being bent? Other damage?
The car is a 2018 eco boost premium with 54k miles.

I'm real sorry for you misfortune! Been there. Probably not the best place for advice. Any answers you get will be pure speculation. I've seen worse that was NOT totaled and "fender benders" that got totaled. Only your shop and insurance company can answer that.

That’ll get repaired, unless major hidden damage.

That dont look bad enough to me to be totalled. But if the frame is tweaked they will say its done.

What was the quote evaluation for totaling that?? Based on your pics, it surely does not look like it would qualify for 75-77% of ACV to be a total.

Depends what the salvage is worth. That’s big $ in salvage, so the adjuster totaled it. That’s how that happened.

...to be honest, those pics are impressive if they are a
true representation of the damage to the car.
If said vehicle hit you @ 90 mph, that protection is Remarkable!!!

One would think the car would be damaged beyond belief.
Maybe Ford is safety conscious...................

The way it was explained to me is because I was also going fast (70) but if I was sitting still it would be a different story.

Ahhhh…. Makes more sense now after seeing these images… probably needs both rear 1/4 panels and looks like trunk pan too. Labor intensive repair, let alone cost of parts and prep/paint.

my parents were hit (stationary) at 90mph. I've seen those pics. There was very little left of the van.
