My convertible top is stuck half open

I think I've seen somewhere that you can manually close the roof on the Mustang if needed to, I think it said you need to push on the mechanism at the motor end rather than pull on the latch handle. I can't find that information at the moment so could be complete bobbins.

It appears from the OP’s earlier post that he removed the trim, removed the motors, and was able raise the top manually. Works, but not very convenient. I would be interested if someone knows of a method to do so without taking things apart. Perhaps someone with a factory shop manual can find a procedure in it for that.
