Come on guys, don't ruin the damn car for him. If you see flaws, keep it to yourself.

No sense in pointing out imperfections on a brand new toy that cost over $30k, all that it will do is drive the owner nuts thinking about it.
It's not an attempt to "ruin" anything. It's me making sure the build quality is up to snuff. A number of new cars have issues like this and the sooner it's caught, the sooner they can be corrected.

I was hoping the OP would say, "nah, I checked and in person it looks fine...must be the way the light hits from the pic"

And remind me, who will correct them? Ford would never swap the doors for such a minor alignment issue.

As all the others have said, it's a non-issue. Let the guy enjoy his car; if you really want to "ensure build quality" bring it up in one of the photos threads.

Those are very easy to fix hinge adjustments. Takes 10 minutes tops to fix.

I Got This!

Someone call Ford and tell them about this so they can delay all of our cars by another week! Screw it! I'm on the phone now. You're all welcome. :headbonk:

As one who commented a lot on the sometimes shoddy alignment/fit and finish of the doors, trunk and hood/front bumper/headlight area on prototypes, I think the doors look perfectly acceptable in this thread. Maybe a mm off at worst or simply a lighting/angle issue and certainly not something you would notice without practically using a magnifying glass...

I know it is a 30 k car but it should still line up correctly. I am hoping it is just the angle that makes it appear off.

It ain't ruining anything for me as it's not my car.
I am looking forward to test driving it though as soon as we get it prepped.
Honestly I didn't notice anything when I saw it in person. Maybe I was too busy drooling over how damn sexy this car looks. And anyone with a Silver color : Great choice. It looks stunning in that color.
