The whipple wait

So he bought this car a little over a month ago and this video as of me posting this now has been up about an hour and he’s received his power adder. I wonder how long ago he ordered it, I’m sure well before he bout the car.

I couldn't bring myself to watch, but according to the comments he apparently ordered from Lethal on April 21. Disheartening to say the least.

It may have just been shipped/packed on 4/21 (april 2021 or april 21st?) But not necessarily ordered.

Since I’ve been following this thread, no one has received their whipple yet. Waiting for other dudes orders to start rolling in before I even start to get excited.

Im five weeks in.

There are folks who have received theirs (including me and i ordered 11/24). They are making their way out and it is worth it.

Got an update saying my order is in production and being worked on and will ship 1-2 weeks or less. Fingers crossed.

Herein is the challenge. I have seen many people from 11/27 getting their units. And a sprinkle of December folks. I did start to hear that Christmas orders were being fulfilled. If there are January orders coming through - it is either because the Shop has serious pull (although Beefcake would be one of those Shops) and/or that person or Shop is more intense/more consistently getting on Whipple to deliver. I do not see rhyme or reason is why I am saying this.

My Shop compared to the big US Shops is likely not on their list. Lethal is a big Shop so they should do well here.

I have been waiting patiently for my Whipple supercharger order since 12/26, so I completely understand the frustration hearing about later date orders shipping sooner.

I am sure some of the bigger resellers have stocking pre-orders, so these resellers may actually be able to fulfill orders sooner than other shops that are just dropshipping orders.

Also, keep in mind, not all systems ordered are the the same. Different model year systems and upgraded systems utilize different components.

There is a huge supply chain issue. So, if just one part of the hundreds that make up a Whipple supercharger system is missing, it can delay the order.

This is not just a Whipple issue, there is a supply chain shortage across every industry.

The good thing about waiting is that these systems are in a constant state of refinement, and by waiting longer you will likely have the latest version.
