Fitted mine today.

Honestly, this is the best £20 you can spend on your car.

What a complete and utter transformation. Rated at 35lbs/in in place of about 180lbs/in of the original.

I didnt hate the original item, but would find myself making jerky changes more often than I liked, and my Mrs. just couldnt get on with it at all.

The Steeda item fixes it completely. Im gobsmacked.

Go and buy one, now!

Did you try it without a spring at all?
No, but read enough reviews to know its not the best idea over a longer period.

Apparently at 35lbs/in the Steeda feels exactly like having no assistance, but pushes the peddle back enough to avoid unintentional riding of the clutch etc.

I'm not THAT bothered. :D

I know when I was looking SOME people were making noises about the harmful effects it may have, but as is often the case, no-one actually stood up and said "yep, took my spring out and 500 miles later my clutch went pop!".

Well, all I know is that the clutch now feels fantastic, I should be mitigating any chance of a burnt clutch, and it cost <£20 and took 5 min to fit.

A no brainer.

Besides, if the clutch can't cope without that tiny spring then it clearly wasn't man enough to be controlling +400bhp and the opportunity should be taken to replace it with one that isn't made of blancmange! :D

I have changed to the Steeda Spring and in my opinion it's money well spent..

Thought the standard Spring was a little hard, managed to pick up the spring from a user on FB and best money spent, feels totally different and not as hard.

If your happy as you are then leave it but try it and I think you will be suitably impressed.

Is there a deal on this spring for forum members at all? Just thought I'd check before I order.
Actually got used to it now but do find myself occasionally getting annoyed over a 'messy' change. That ain't right so going for it. Is there instructions with it?

I got the spring in March from a fellow forum member who bought a few ( I didn't get the car until last month). Haven't fitted it yet but have been meaning to do it for some time. Will definitely do it now!
