this pic is taken with a zenmuse x5 (the camera that's on my drone, inspire 1 pro) with an osmo (handle attachment for the camera so you can use it like a dslr). 1.7 prime lens on it

Just playing around in light room to get something bright and punchy...like a 2 min job. Picture wasn't taken in raw... i forgot to change the setting that day but owell.

Not sure if you guys have heard, but last week Google made their Nik Collection available for free (normally about 150). Its a set of really powerful editing tools that you use in conjunction with Photoshop or Lightroom.

https://www.google.com/nikcollection/
This is a great set of tools and I've used them quite frequently for a few years. I highly recommend downloading if you haven't already!

My new 35mm Prime f2.0 lens will be here tomorrow. I'm super anxious to go out and test it out. May even leave work early lol.

Pictures, of course, look freaking amazing dude. But that helmet.. Looks like something straight out of a F-16 lol! Where did you get it?
It's a Simpson Bandit. Very comfortable and light.

Definitely good to know, I look forward to your impressions on the 105mm though I'm not exactly in the market for that right now.
The Nikkor 105 arrived a couple days ago and I finally got a chance to test it out a bit after work yesterday. It's only my second lens, so I can only compare it to the 50mm f/1.8. It is MUCH easier to get sharp keeper shots with the 105. The auto focus is fast and smooth (though slightly noisier than the 50mm) as long as you're at least 10" from your subject. Manual focus is really easy for both macro shots and distance shots. The focus ring resists slightly which helps for up close focusing. I read the Sigma 105 was more "touchy" than the Nikon, but even if it is only slightly more touchy it would still be very good. The 105 does a great job capturing colors and I am really impressed by how much detail it can pick up even from distance. Needless to say, the 50mm will be put away for at least a little while. Now I just need a larger case to fit both the body and the 105 lens.

Here are a few shots a grabbed while testing the lens for the first time (sorry they're not Mustang pictures; once it stops raining every other day I can get it cleaned and get some decent shots).

$50 for the weekend. F8Rentals based in Reston VA and Washington DC.

You can rent cameras?
Yep. Cameras, lenses, flashes, studio lights, stands, electronics like remote flash commanders, pretty much anything and everything photography/videography related.

Also check out Lensrentals.com for a wider variety.

When a wildlife lens can cost over $10,000, it makes sense to be able to rent one. The 70-200 f2.8 lens I'm renting costs about $2,500 new.

Borrowlenses.com is another good resource. When we go to the Rolex Equestrian event in KY I always rent gear for that because the lenses are so expensive that I need and that's about the only time I need them. Since my camera body is so old I've exclusively been renting a body from https://www.lensrentals.com/ because they are local and I can pick up and drop off without dealing with shipping. I just don't want to drop the money on a 5D MKIII right now so I just rent a couple times a year, have a full day or two of shooting and then I have enough photos for a while of the car.

I just sold my Sony a6000 a few weeks ago and picked up a Canon 6D, which I've been absolutely in love with. However, I'm still getting used to shooting outside of automatic mode myself. Taking night time shots seem to be one of my biggest struggles too.

Here are some recent shots with the camera:

Didn't realize I had pollen on the car during the last picture until much later, lol. It was just one of those "I feel like getting out and taking some shots" moments around like 10PM at night.

Also had a friend's sister help out with a logo since this is her space. Curious to know what you guys think of it too -- a little too much to the pics or if it fits well.

One question I always wonder is where do you guys host your images? I understand that imgur is a quick and easy image hosting solution, but it compresses pictures that are over x MB. I want to say that Photobucket does as well.

I've been temporarily using cubeupload for my image hosting since they do not compress image. However, there's a file size upload of 5MB and that's understandable. Dropbox works but only serves as a temporary solution as well given that you have X storage space. Haven't tried Amazon Cloud just yet.
