Alright so been a while since i updated this thread. Been busy with work and a few Family issues going on right now. Everything is almost back to normal but on the plus side we are all doing well.

In the works right now is a Barton or MGW Shifter. Trying to get a few things squared away before I make the purchase.

I will upload pictures this weekend and get this updated but since my last post I have been kinda busy. I have installed a UPR Oil Catch Can, Roush Winglets and Roush side scoops. Recieved the Steeda Strut tower brace but have not installed yet.

UPR Catch Can was a super easy plug and play installation took all of about 20 maybe 30 minutes to install it.

Roush Winglets also easy slide right in and a few screws and you are on your way.

Roush Side scoops a little more involved in pre-planning and you only get one shot at it because that 3M tape is some sticky Sh!t... Trust me. I will be removing one this weekend and trying again because I just missed the correct contact point so the driver side sticks off the car about 3/16" where the other side i hit perfect and is flush.

I am trying to upload pictured to Photobucket now from my phone so hopefully tonight i can get some pictures uploaded for you guys to check out.

Thanks for reading and as always if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Enjoy,

Danny

So Its those little details that you slowly add on like the UPR Billet Strut Tower Cap Cover that start to set the mood under the hood...

I added the Caps the same time I did UPR's Mustang GT Plug N Play SC Oil Catch Can Separator. Let me say this thing does not disappoint. The quality is top notch and it was very easy to install following along with their provided instructions.it was packaged well and the fittings are very stout. I got the satin finish for the hoses and I think they look great and again are very high quality.

Even has a inline check valve.

The mounting bracket has a lot of adjustment built into it. Again solid design.

Loosen the top knob undo the 2 quick disconetc fittings and our are ready to drain your contents. Seriously could not be any easier.

Thanks for reading

So I finally got some pictures of the side scoops and winglets loaded up. I personally think the scoops make the body lines just pop. But please let me know what you guys think.
I picked these up at Hypermotive. Seriously awesome customer service. Jay at hypermotive really did help me out with my decision. So give Jay a call at Hypermotive today so he can help make your dreams a reality.

I like the side scoops as well, and I have mine back at home waiting for installation when I get back. Nice build man. Sub'd.

That first picture is an amazing shot. That's so Facebook cover worthy.

Someone installed something new this weekend. Barton Industries is killing it with this. Proper write up to come soon.

The Menace Gets a Barton Part 2...

Some of you know I was leaning towards MGW there for a while. George was there to answer questions and take my calls and emails. But in the end the order went to Barton. Joe really took the time to explain stuff to me day in and day out. Ask him for your self I probably bugged him for a week straight. Then still did not buy. Then bugged him some more.

SO with that said.

I want to say thank you to the boys over at Barton. Joe and Dave have been a big help to me and my build. Barton came through with great pricing and Availabilty and customer service. They have been Answering all of my questions extremely quickly for how busy these guys are. Sometimes they make me feel like I am their only customer, and we all know that's not true.

I chose to do this install over a few days at night after work. I really just had their video up and going as I did the install. Following along at my own pace. So as far as the install goes my advice follow their video for the shifter. I had a different way to remove the plastic piece from the factory shifter (will upload later dont have picture on phone) but other than that their video was great. I also have some tips below for the trans bracket drive shaft loop.

Here is my ghetto set up AKA my poor man lift.

So here are the two side by side loosely assembled only to show quality of each. I really cannot believe how much slop there is in this factory shifter. I mean the rubber bushing in the mount is sonsoft that is where half the slop, movement and missed shifts come from.

Such a shame this little beauty gets hidden. Again loosely fitted to show quality not actual installation layout.

Space left for when I upload the transbracket and driveshaft loop to photobucket. They are on my other computer and I am doing this from my phone. I will have to say that this part of the install was a pain in the ass everything is so percussion built that it is very tight trying to get your hands around and tighten the nuts and bolts. And i am a small guy... TIP.......Have some one up top making sure that the shifter is center... Because after I was all done I got into the car and I was off center like a 1/4" to one side. Being you no longer are mounting to the body of the car it is easy to miss align the shifter. What I did was put to 1/4 wide spacers on each side of the shifter since no one was available to help me.

All done and back together

This thing is very tight. It takes some getting used to. My Daily is a 2013 WRX 5door and that shifter is loose and sloppy. So when I got to drive the racecar it is much more of a bear to get back in the groove. But I will say since I installed this 3+ weeks ago I have not Missed One Shift. Not one.... And I have put maybe 550 miles on this set up. 1st to second is tricky when granny shifting as you do have to pull towards you a little when shifting but no problem in a spirited pull as that is your natural aggravated jerking reaction....

All in all they give you a 30 day try it, if you don't like it, then you can return it policy... and let's just say I don't plan on returning it anytime soon...

Thanks for reading.

Is it just me, or is every picture link broken?
