Those Aston pictures make me wish Ford could give us a RWD Probe or AWD Fusion coupe. I'd love a Vanquish for $40k. Of course they won't as it would cannibalize Mustang sales but one can dream.

I'm probably way off, but.............

Time to bump this thread!

OK, I was browsing on TeamShelby and it was interesting to hear what they thought might be under the hood bulge on these. Now, if you recall, these 2 prototypes were spotted after the 2 (different?!?) cars at the N/ring.......so why sport the big bulge all of a sudden?

Could it be a shaker under there? :gossip:

IIRC there was always a bulge in the hood. Camo padding can be made to make something look like it's there when it isn't, or look like it's not there when it is.

For this photo all they would need to do is pad the entire hood to make it look smooth.

Yeah, bring it back with the reinforced half shafts and other assorted improvements.

Yup. I'm waiting until 2016 for a new Mach 1.

Oh, I agree and I know the camo is there to confuse us. But I want to believe there's more under there than just padding.

As much as anything, I wanted to get people talking about the Mach 1 again. The rumour mill has gone quiet on it (which I'd expect, what with stock cars now being delivered and the GT350 hopefully imminent)........but it'd be good to flush out details on what's coming next
