Too much money for to little gains and to be honest i didn't feel much of a gain but I am already tuned and have other mods so I was expecting this. It does sound good though. That's when I bought mine when they had the sale. You can always call them and see if you can get any discount at all. Before the intake I was using a drop in air filter which probably has the same benefits other then the sound.
Alright thank you so much! I'll order it for sure once I finish paying for the muffler delete thats going on.

Have a question to ask any CAI owner, but specifically those with the Cobb one. I just installed it this past week and have noticed that at full throttle from a stop the whooshing sound goes away completely and it sounds identical to a stock car as I accelerate. And while in 2nd or 3rd while rolling if I stomp on it the whooshing sound gradually gets more intense and high pitched until it eventually goes away again in the upper rpm bands. I've been driving it like this for several days now and haven't gotten any kind of dropoff in power or check engine lights. Just curious if anyone knows why. I did dent my cone filter a little to get it to fit during installation, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Anyone have any ideas?

Took me 15 minutes, loosen the coolant res to move it out of the way, put filter on tube, snake it into the fenderwell through the engine bay, move the horns out of the way by just pushing them to bend the bracket, attatch to turbo. Its really not bad to install. The noise it makes sounds awesome!
Is the BOV going off by itself at highway speeds? This will make or break the deal.. I had the boomba adapter, sucker goes off like crazy. . Chucked it asap!:frusty:

100% normal with or without the boomba adaptor. I took mine off cause it was too loud.

Looks like ALL the CAI will make the wooosshhh noise on the highways then? I don't have an exhaust so I will def. hear it.

Turn the music louder lol. All cai will make the woosh noise. I might connect the hose onto my Intake just to see how it sounds compared to venting to the atmosphere

Are these intakes really adding as much hp/tq as some brands are claiming? I thought the intake wasn't really the restriction for these cars. I would def do it for the extra sound and cool under hood factor tho.

I did mine for the sound. I'd say a 5hp gain if anything, but you can't feel that at all.

I am going with a conservative approach for my DD. I just ordered the AIRAID EB Intake Tube and AEM Drop In Filter. It should be here about the middle of next week and I'll try to post some clips of how it sounds.

I considered the AirRaid, but I didnt care for plastic tubing, or whatever it is. My intake is the same color as my car. Looks so sexy under the hood!
