Have you ever done the 10/1 Beadmaker to Dream Maker mixture so many online talk about? I haven't yet as I'm waiting to get through with most of the bottle of Dream Maker I have, because like you, I found it disappointing on its own.
The strange thing is, most people say they love Dream Maker, so you are the first I know of apart from me to say otherwise.

And yes, I have tried Clean Maker. I mixed my own, but P&S have done a limited edition run of the product.

Clean Maker "Jamie The Cleaner" – P & S Detail Products (psdetailproducts.com)

Clean Maker Recipe:
10 Parts Bead Maker
1 Part Dream Maker

And yes, it does make Dream Maker far more palatable. Slick and glossy as you would expect, just without the streaky finish. As much as anything, I'm using this as a way to rid myself of Dream Maker, however, I wouldn't necessarily but more Dream Maker to make Clean Maker.

I’ve been using CarPro Elixir and love it but I also have a bottle each of the dream/bead maker so I’m gonna mix them up too and see how I like it. Besides, I have a brand new IK 360 mini that’s begging for some fluids 🤣

Right on. I'll have to give it a shot once I get down to the bottom of the bottle of Dream Maker. Probably smells weird to have orange and watermelon scents mixed together.

Actually, despite the mix only containing 10% Dream Maker, the predominant scent is the watermelon from the Dream Maker. Go figure.

P&S Fragrance Line

I’ve been hesitant to write this one, but after trying all avenues, I can’t hold back any longer.

When P&S unveiled their fragrance line last year, I was super keen to get my hands on these new products. The alluring scents within Bead Maker, Absolute, Paint Gloss and Dream Maker have won many fans, cementing these products as fan favorites. So, the prospect of a Bead Maker scented interior fragrance……………sign me up!

To begin with, P&S focused on three scents, with the promise of more to follow in the future. These included the Bead Maker inspired Mango Fresh, the Absolute-esq Coconut-Lime and Eucalyptus-Mint Tea, which would later appear as the fragrance used in Frost Bite. Considering my love of Bead Maker and Absolute, I ordered them as soon as they became available in Australia.

IMG-0693.webp

Opening the bottle of each reveals a heady aroma of Mango or Coconut, a sensory pleasure of the highest degree. All P&S fragrances are supplied as concentrates, one 16-oz (473 ml) bottle can make up to 2 gallons (7 liters) of ready to use scent, which is about 15:1. Higher concentrations can be used if desired. I mixed both Mango Fresh and Coconut-Lime up at 10:1, eager to start using them ASAP. And then the disappointment set in………………………..

IMG-0688.webp

Don’t get me wrong, both smell delightful……………………………but they just don’t last. There are a few things at play here. Humans become “scent blind” after being exposed to certain scents over prolonged exposure, something I have mildly experienced with other interior fragrances before, but not like these. Once either Mango Fresh or Coconut-Lime has dried, the scent is basically gone. Ignoring the scent blind thing, I have a very active sense of smell, to the point where I can pick up scents that no one else can detect, be that the good or the bad kind. So, if I can’t detect these two fragrances, how would anyone else?

I tried a few different ways of increasing the longevity of Mango Fresh and Coconut-Lime. I started by applying additional sprays to the carpet, adding more product to richen the dilution, I even applied the raw concentrate to a sponge and placed it in the door pocket. On each attempt, once it the product had dried, the scent was all but gone.

Don’t read into the above thinking this is a P&S bashing post, far from it. I like and frequently use a range of products from the P&S lineup. Bead Maker and Paint Gloss are such delightful products to use, the scent of them a nice side benefit. Brake Buster, Undressed and Xpress are staples of mine, representing exceptional value for money and excellent results. On the more obscure side, Clarity Crème glass polish is such a hidden gem. However, Mango Fresh and Coconut-Lime proves my often-quoted belief that no single detailing company can create a full line of winning products. Some companies come close to doing that, but none actually achieve it. I also realise there is an element of subjectivity to that statement, but the rule still applies.

P&S have since gone on to release additional scents to the lineup, including Strawberry Lemon and Leather New Car, but I have no desire to try them out due to the huge disappointment that was Mango Fresh and Coconut-Lime.

Kinda funny but I have experienced this with the scent of ground coffee beans, D. Years back I had NO problem detecting the scent and it was wonderful but for probably the last five years or so, I can just barely detect that wonderful aroma. Takes some of the enjoyment out of making a cup of joe.

As for P&S and their new "scent lineup," I'm sorry for the disappointment since that one factor is so uniquely special to your nostrils. <smile> With my failing nasal detectors, my brain doesn't care about the scent. <grin>

Thats a shame, I do love the scent of Beadmaker and Absolute both. And was going to try the scent product at some point. And I agree, every chemical manufacturer makes some stellar products and some not so much. I have several P&S products but some of their stuff, I much prefer other brands in that arena (ie I now prefer ADS Amplify to Beadmaker). One VERY stellar P&S Product is the Rags to Riches, I haven't found another I like better for that...

I've found some avoid Rags to Riches because of how it was "hyped" upon release by the usual suspects, as in "it can't be that good" type of thinking. That particular product was designed in parallel between P&S and TRC, so it's no surprise that R to R works exceptionally well at maintaining or even reviving microfiber towels.

If you are looking for a good interior scent product, I keep coming back to the Angelwax duo, Edan and Bliss. These two are a nice blend of potency and longevity without being sickly like some interior fragrances, making a pleasant change from the usual cherry or bubble gum aromas common to most. It's hard to describe these two in terms of what they smell like, I would say that Edan is more masculine, Bliss is more feminine.

Eden - a juicy slice of paradise – Angelwax USA
Bliss - a fresh reminder of heaven – Angelwax USA

Thanks, yeah R2R is the only one I have tried since my last gallon of Chemical Guys MF wash. It worked OK I guess. I did get a sample of the CARPRO MF wash, I wasn't impressed with it at all...

As for scents, I usually just clean and let it be, CARPRO Inner QD is my favorite, the scent lingers with that one for a while...

Are there any of these that can be bought at a physical shop in the US? I need a good leather cleaner for my recaros.
Probs going to order the cleanse hydrating leather stuff mentioned earlier. I ended up ordering some of the CG stuff initially. And like you guys have a bunch taking up space. The interior, and glass cleaner sucks. Is basically scented water. I couldn't find my invisible glass bottle and did after I ordered.
I've had good luck with the CG Mr. Pink soap, it foams ok. But it takes the tar, bugs and other road stuff off my wrap really well and easily, lightly wipes right off. Plus I don't get spots when it drys. I tried the meguiars hyper wash D110 cherry robitussin on a recommendation and it foams really well but doesn't take the stuck on stuff off well. The surface dirt and pollen it takes right off. I'm going to try it again tonight or tomorrow and use a decent amount. 2-3 cap fulls in a foam gun wasn't enough I'm guessing.

SPTA detailing brushes on amazon are actually pretty good.

I’ve yet to find any scented spray that lingers for more than a few hours. I just stick to the vent pods and replace them as they dry out. I haven’t noticed any side effects of oil residue on my windows or surfaces.

Only thing I know that is available at my local auto places and Wally is Meguiars and some Griots garage stuff. Also Adams. Adams does make really good stuff. Their Mega Foam is impressive, their ceramic sprays are nice too. I have heard great things about Griots too, but I have yet to try any myself personally. I do have a local detail shop that is a dealer for Shine Supply, I usually order online but can get locally if I need to...

I would be concerned about the 50% of "scrubbing" it says right on the bottle you'll need to do.
