I like to disassemble things.
Sorry to hear, sounds like the same failures that a few 2020 350s have had. Sounds like a supplier issue.
I don't like hearing this at all. This is the first I heard of it on a GT500 and I hope the last. The shots in the GT350 section of the valve head broken off and jammed into the combustion chamber were painful to see.

I’m glad things are taken care of and sounds like Ford is doing their best in these trying time to care of the issues.

I hope to see more post with you and your 500 soon.

Look at all that glorious, oxidation-free, aluminum! And thank God the Niche line built a few extra of these before the Wutang hit...

Good to see Ford taking care of you.

Is there a chance in hell that the etched your VIN on the block? The GT350 engine replacements all came with a blank VIN plate.

I’m going back tomorrow to see the tech again, he said he’d have the old engine out this evening. I could actually take a look and see the valve that dropped. Once again nobody wants to lose an engine. But between the dealership and Ford, just exceptional customer service!

There's probably not a chance in hell, but you should inquire about keeping the engine if you pay the core fee.

I've been thinking about this for a bit and would love to see any shots you can get of the carnage as well as what the mechanic has to say. I'd like to know if the issue was a failed keeper, retainer, spring, or just a defective valve. Anything you could unearth would be welcomed and appreciated.

I asked that, and you’re right, not a chance in hell. Lol Ford wants it back, even told tech to halt on any more diss-assembly.
