Ford used to have a presence on this forum. Deysha was her name i think. Ever since Ford pulled her, Ford has distanced themselves from us more and more as time progressed.

I recall Deysha was very helpful. People would run into a problem and she'd get it pointed in the right direction.
I remember Deysha, she was able to answer many of the questions that I had about my 2013 order. She was a real asset to Ford and all the forums she serviced. I think the big difference between Deysha and the guys at FP was that I think she actually worked directly for Ford rather than a subcontractor and it appeared that she had direct contact with people at Ford and was able to get answers that were not on the VVR.

The only information that the guys at FP had that you and I did not is, the location of the railcar and the status of a car "In Order Processing". Now that Ford has seen fit to remove the secondary status from the websites we can only see the limited information that is available on the Ford Official Tracking Website. We can no longer determine where in the the car is in, Production, Awaiting Shipment or in Transit. So we have 2 choices, guess or contact someone at FP.
By the way, your dealer has access to the same information on the VVR that you get from FP, but we all know how helpful most dealerships are once you order the car.

I don't know what Ford's motivation was to render the tracking sites nearly useless, but they did a big disservice to some of their most loyal customers.

I will say that I was amazed at how many people Earl helped track their cars for. I am also amazed that Ford wouldn’t have this as a service to their customers that are only anxious to receive their vehicle which they worked hard for, and look forward to learning what stage their new vehicle is at in the assembly / shipping process. people go crazy over new cars and Ford would be wise to understand this and deliver this service so people look forward to their next order. I will miss Earl’s help in tracking my 21, but I totally get the time commitment this is and glad he will be taking time to enjoy his cars.

Thank you Snoopy. Made my wait tolerable during a very turbulent year. It is hard to believe they exceeded their 5000 production goal. There was a time I did not think we would see 3000 and I was ready to bail. You however kept my head straight with eyes on the goal. The time you have invested for all of us in the Mustang community has been immense and appreciated more than you can ever realize. Your expert opinion valued. Are you going to do an encore for 2021 MY?
Any let us not forget Noah at Ford Performance for his time and willingness to answer our phone inquires.

Very true, Vern but the big difference is, FP employees are paid a good wage, Earl does it out of the goodness of his heart. No offense to Noah and Co. but to me, that's a big difference.

I personally consider it an honor to have been lucky enough to purchase mine when Earl had a full suite of working sites and kept us all extremely up to date. Day in, day out, Earl was at the keyboard doing us all enormous favors and I know he relieved my own anxiety many times.

WHY Ford would turn off those servers that weren't hurting a soul is beyond me but it's yet another fact that puts a bad taste in my mouth. Wake up Ford...get with the program and stop putting road blocks up for your loyal customers.

ROCK ON, Earl!

First, there is no arguing that Earl is the man. He has been the glue that has held many a buyers world together (self included), while waiting for our cars. He is a true car enthusiast. Someone who loves cars, is happy to share his knowledge, and help others. Let's be honest, that's the core of an enthusiast. Earl however, has taken it to a whole new level. There really needs to be more Earls in this world.

Second, Ford Performance is a good bunch of guys too. I spoke to a few, but Noah stands out as their greatest asset. Do they get paid to do it? Yes, but they do a great job, and are very wiling to help. It's not their fault that they are limited on what they can say, or do. Deysha was great, but she worked for Ford directly. I wish they kept her in here.

Lastly, Ford.... Well, I do not know what it takes to run an automotive business, so I am not one to talk. That said, I wish they would spend some time & money and rethink their end users (us) experience. The old expression "loose lips sink ships" (ok, a line right out of an AC/DC song) comes to mind. Your end users are your life blood. Throw us a freaking bone and take most of the sting of purchasing a vehicle, let alone a specialty car like the GT500, by having a state of the art tracking program. USPS tracking SUCKS, but even they can do it better than Ford. Lets NOT even talk about why they don't neuter the stealerships from gouging.
