Test drove a Hellcat again today.

So.....I have the 2019 Bullitt and a 2015 6M Hellcat....you simply cannot compare the two. I love both for very different reasons and am extremely fortunate to be lucky enough to own both cars. The Hellcat is in your face fast and the best tire burner I have ever owned. The Bullitt is a gorgeous refined grand tourer type whose active exhaust makes me smile every time I row the gears. We live in glorious automotive times!

But, put a Vortech or other centri blower on it (to keep the cool stuff brace) and it will easily get the hellcat for less money and be cooler. I did this on my 2009 Bullitt and it was the best of both worlds. Handling and power.

I own a 2018 gt pp1 A10 and a Stock 17 hellcat A8 i too love both cars my hellcat ran 11.18@127 on pirelli p zeros and 10.71 with mickey et streets @129.6 6.9 102mph 1/8 mile .. I'm at sea level so I'm sure it helps ..the mustang is fast but not in the league of the hellcat .even modded in a N/A form it may match or get close but can't exceed its performance ..and on a roll there is no chance up top over 120 the hellcat pulls the same at 60 as it does at 140 .
I have owned much faster cars than both of these .i had a 10.0 137mph shelby and 9.7 141mph 1LE camaro .but for stock factory cars these too cars are hard to beat and comfy and reliable ..

I ended up with the 19 gt auto for the money and all I'm gonna do is cold air and tune it then drive and enjoy what I have.
Had a 03 cobra that put out over 700 hp but hated shifting gears at my old age

Not enough power for my tastes. I'd have to mod the bullit to get to the 700+ or more horse power level I want to be at. And that kinda ruins the collector aspect of a bullit. So I might as well keep the 15 Gt I already own. It's almost payed off. Already has about 6 grand in mods done. (wheels, Cowl hood, Side scoops, rear spoiler, plus most performance bolt-ons) I've gotten used to running low 9s out of the 95GT I just sold. So anything I bought would have to make silly power.

Get the Bullitt, take it to Steeda for their McQueen Racing 900 hp treatment. 300 units per model year exclusivity, supercharged 900 hp lust and collectible in about 20 years. I love my Bullitt. I even like it when compared to my GT350. Its a great car. Dark Highland Green metallic and unflashy McQueen cool.

Yes mods destroy the value

Factory mods do not affect value much. In fact, done correctly and dealer installed it can add value.
Having a bunch of aftermarket stuff haphazardly thrown on a car with no apparent theme or goal or making visual modifications of very personal taste affects value.

I dont know. Ive beat enough hell kitties when I was just bolt ons. To make me wonder how this particular interwebs call out would play out? But the real smart money is on it never playing out.

I've owned a 16 Scat Pack and a 16 Hellcat and here I am coming back to Ford.

The Scat I probably should have kept and but I had to have a hellcat. While the hellcat is nice it WILL not be a valued collectors car IMO because they are mass producing them as they are selling them and they are leasing them so I see it being just another car at some point. For the money I spent in payments, insurance, and upkeep I could of bought a 15GT new, had it paid off, and been at 800WHP and for far less than a Hellcat.

Even being 36 with no traffic infractions or accidents I was paying almost $200 a month for HC insurance and that was the cheapest I could find.
