Well the local dealer has their first 15 in stock. Its a magnetic ecoboost automatic with no other features. I currently drive a 2013 Fusion Titanium AWD. I have never been interested in a mustang before. When I first saw the 15 the front reminded me of the fusion and overall I liked the looks of it so I have been following it since. Today I finally got to spend some time with one in person. So after about 30 minutes with one, what does a non mustang guy who has never considered a mustang before think?

I GOT TO HAVE ONE!

The car is beautiful in person. I actually really liked the magnetic color. Seeing the mustang and the Fusion right near each other, the similarities go away. The mustang is much more aggressive and just overall a much better looking car. And this from someone who thinks the Fusion if one of the best looking sedans on the market.

The interior, WOW. And this was the base model. Very good quality. Laid out well. Good room up front. The back seats while comfortable, there is ZERO headroom. I am 5'10" and was hitting my head on the rear window, I needed to hunch over a little. But that was expected. 90% of the time I drive its just me, 5% of the time one other passenger. I rarely have both kids or the whole family in the car (got teenagers so you know how that is).

Driving wise I was shocked at how much visibility there is. I actually felt like I was higher up than in my fusion. I only took down a main street and then a few winding hilly roads. It handled very well and had nice pickup. Similar power to my 09 Maxima, but much tighter handling. It was a fun 15 mins behind the wheel.

I told my wife she was lucky it was a base model or I might have driven it home. I think I am sold. I was thinking about the Performance Pack, but HATE the black wheels and after driving this I am not sure I would need it. An extra 2K and wheels I don't like. I could always upgrade some things if I really felt I needed it.

Very nicely done Ford. My dad has been a mustang guy for years and I never got it. I guess he owned like a 65 or 67 convertible and sold it when we were kids, still holds it against us I think, lol. He has been saying for years he wants a new one and still has not pulled the trigger. I just called him and said I might beat you to the punch.

So thinking a 15 is somewhere in my future. I have zero patience, so might be sooner than later. I am hoping I can hold off until spring so I can use the AWD fusion for the winter and wont have to deal with that again till next year as this would be a daily driver.

Anyway cool car.:ford:

I am in exactly the same boat. I have never been a Mustang guy up till now, but the first time I saw it, I told myself I must have one.

The PP is a great value and something you couldn't do yourself for that amount of money. Swap the summer only tires to a set of wheels that you like and use the PP wheels for your winter tires.

I need to go drive one, the PP gets a lot of good stuff besides the wheels. The brakes, coolers, and rear end are worth it in my opinion.

I need to drive one but if i buy it would be a base EB with Performance pack and Recaro's.

I drove a V6, EB and GT over the weekend.

The V6 had the 51A package and after taking it out, it felt a tad sluggish to me. It sounded nice, but without the premium interior, it just felt like the bastard step child to me after being inside the other 2 premium models. I think the V6 has potential but after being in it, I feel like Ford intentionally made it feel worse then the EB.

The EB caught me off guard after being in the V6. The EB has a pretty amazing low-mid torque curve, perfect for a daily driver or some weekend fun. I actually liked the turbo spool noise from it. I wish it was a PP but it felt pretty good to me overall as a package. Very balanced, very nimble. It was quiet except in the mid/high range. The only thing I think they need to do is shed some weight on the EB. It did feel grounded BUT a tad heavy. Makes me wonder if that will put strain on the Turbo 4 in the long haul. Want to see the PP in it because that is what the UK/EU is getting and obviously Ford feels that they would want the PP features in their car..so that makes me think so should we.

The GT. What is there to say. It sounded mean. It drove mean. It was loud and had the power/torque. It felt like a muscle car. A very refined muscle car. After being in it, I came away thinking to myself that I really don't need that much power in a car, especially a DD in the DC/NOVA area with all the stop and go traffic.

Also base vs premium...it was night and day. Premium just feels like you are in a car from Germany.

Coming away, I don't think it's fair to compare the EB to the GT. To me, the EB felt like I was driving an Audi S5 or BMW in the EcoBoost. The GT felt like and sounded like a muscle car.

Two completely different breeds here.

Yeah I really want to take an EB with PP out after taking the premium EB out.
