NMRA T/S is a great class to start out in just for the seat time alone.
I was at KOTS Saturday and the 275 is technically a small tire BUT those guys run 8's at least all day long. I ran hardtire 220 class and was the slowest one there. The guy that won that was probably a low 10 high 9 car.
Where are you located in the NWI? I'll be passing through the area for work related things the week of June 3rd. I'd just throw them in my truck if you still had them then possibly.
Mainly street driving, I'll probably only do a few track days in the reality of things. Even the smallest wheel spin on radials is HORRIBLE!
I've been looking at BMR stuff, probably my go to suspension people. I like their products and their prices.
Sounds like you have a nice all round set up! I was curious how the Vikings were in a more cornering style since they are mainly designed for straight line. I'm trying to get the car set up to put all 430 WHP to the pavement. I love my yellows but the wheelhop is crazy so I'll be adding cradle...
I"m kicking the idea of ditching the Koni Yellows and BMR performance set up to go with Viking rears and BMR Drag springs however I'm curious as to what everyone is running for a front strut?
As you've also found out the winters here suck and are depressing lol
As for the speed shops I can say Brenspeed up here is really good at what they do. I used to run around with them when they were just 3 guys in a small 2 bay shop. I got out of the racing and just lost touch with them...
I'm late to the party but that is SICK! I'm still bummed I wasted money on a hellcat. I could have stayed in the Blue Oval and made just as much power for MUCH MUCH less!
I test drove a 2016 RS before I decided to get back into a mustang. I was thinking "Eh, this will be a pretty fun car to drive" after I found myself picturing myself to be Ken Block! It was a thrill to drive but at the end of the day it was just lacking the torque I desire. At the end of the day...
I've owned a 16 Scat Pack and a 16 Hellcat and here I am coming back to Ford.
The Scat I probably should have kept and but I had to have a hellcat. While the hellcat is nice it WILL not be a valued collectors car IMO because they are mass producing them as they are selling them and they are...
Hey, thanks for the input! I'm still trying to figure out what came with what. They've came a long way since the new edges lol
I don't mind a manual as it won't be a DD but auto is the way to go drag racing! I guess it makes sense now though since the manuals had different gearing. I guess it...
Hey gang,
So I'm not new to mustangs at all I've owned a 99 and 01 Electric Green GT one was a solid 12 second car NA 2V and an 01 Cobra. I am new to the S550 and the 5.0 though.
Dabbled in Mopar for a few years with a Scat Pack and then a HellCat.
2 years later I'm back in the blue oval...
