Terrible paint defect

you have only had the car a few months?

how is the car parked during the day? Maybe its getting hit by a water sprinkler? :shrug:

does water bead on the paint ?

Sprinklers are on the other side! They come on at night. I'm just wondering now how to get this paint corrected...

Only one side of the car! To be honest this car has been a pain in my behind since I picked it up last Jan to keep clean. The damage seems to be getting worse by the day only the one side.

Are you parking it next to a sprinkler system (as paul123 already mentioned) and only one side gets sprayed down sometimes which leaves water spots? Seen that happen many times to people.

The photos you posted definitely look like hard water spots. You need to use the Meguire's Ultimate Compound and then some good wax on a section to see if it comes out ... I'm betting it will. I doubt it's underneath the clear coat.

That looks like some dried up wear marks.
If your car is in the sun and rain a lot, the mineral will dry up and settle on the paint.
My DD has this happen a lot and I have to remove hard water every year despite waxing it frequently.

I use this. It's a strong acid that devolves minerals. Very easy use and paint safe. The best part is it does not remove any clear coat when using (none abrasive).
