TECH VS TRACK

I switched from Tech to Track almost entirely for the Recaros and Spoiler.
I can add an aftermarket radio later, I use my phone for navigation, and I don't care about leather heated/cooled seats.

I'm going to drive my car on the street, so Tech pack. I like a little comfort and the idea of air cooled seats in Florida is a plus. I plan on a couple of long trips a year, so race seats are out. Oil/trans coolers are simple mechanical bolt-ons, so if there is ever a need (which I highly doubt), it can be done. I can't imagine converting tech stuff being easy. I doubt it's pug and play. Are people really surprised that most members will actually drive their cars and not hole them up in a garage? With the Rs, I get it, but for the non-Rs? Honestly, the car isn't some classic rare car. It's no more special than a Z28, Hellcat, or M4. It's a great looking car and it's going to be a blast to drive. People just need to relax on this forum and enjoy their GT350 (regardless of the package).

Bought a Track Pack because...well, it's going to see the track. And I'm sort of a minimalist individual when it comes to stuff like heated/cooled seats and other baloney that I just see as another thing to go wrong. And weight.

For 54k+ there better be better tech in the car than the 23k base model V6 IMO. Most of drivers are going to spend this car having fun with it on back roads, going to dinner, car meets, Mustang Week etc.
Like others had stated, coolers and a spoiler can be added aftermarket fairly easy. Especially if you are actually tracking the car regularly you are going to start changing things anyway.
Only thing you are missing out on are the Recaros, which make no sense why leather Recaros were not an option?
I wouldn't see getting the track pack over the tech unless you truly plan to make this your track car.

I can't tell you Ford's reason but I will say I am absolutely done with leather seats. And getting tossed in the corners on a slick material is not exactly enjoyable. I'm very glad the Track Pack seats are cloth. Oh and no ripping too. There's a small rip on my seat on my current car and I'm pissed. I treated them too pretty often. Use is use I guess.

Hey, everyone has their preferences. Why offer the GT leather seats, when they could have put the leather Recaros in there? Really not sure what they were thinking there.

My take is if you plan to drive the car on the road often, and if you are not the only one who drives the car, go for the Tech Pack because it has all the comfort amenity of a modern car.
I chose Track Pack because mine will only be driven or tracked occasionally, and I plan to keep the car for a very long time. In my case the less electronics to break or go obsolete the better. Mechanical staff can be fixed or replaced easily 20 years from now, no so for complicated OEM electronics.

Its gotta be a Marketing Department decision. Recaro's have very limited adjustability and is all manual (4-way manual driver, 2-way manual passenger). People who order leather seats want all adjustments available and want everything motorized.

even on the tech pack the centers and the inner bolsters are microfiber so there will be no sliding. but i didnt want the added weight of the electronic seats. i wish they wouldve taken more weight out of the car. They used to make a limited GT with manual windows, no ac, or radio back in like 94 and 95. I forget what its called but ive only seen one in person. I wish they wouldve taken the window motors out and door handles and had a cloth chord to pull it closed. (think Porsche GT3 RS) and made the door panel a thin weightless cover. Those doors have some heft to them and could stand to loose some weight. And while theyre at it the doors couldve easily been made of aluminum. I dont know why they refuse to make the whole car aluminum like the F-150. They dropped like 700 lbs going to complete aluminum. If only we could get back to the foxbody days of 2700 lbs this thing would scream with all of that power.
