I can't tell you Ford's reason but I will say I am absolutely done with leather seats. And getting tossed in the corners on a slick material is not exactly enjoyable. I'm very glad the Track Pack seats are cloth. Oh and no ripping too. There's a small rip on my seat on my current car and I'm pissed. I treated them too pretty often. Use is use I guess. For 54k+ there better be better tech in the car than the 23k base model V6 IMO. Most of drivers are going to spend this car having fun with it on back roads, going to dinner, car meets, Mustang Week etc.
Like others had stated, coolers and a spoiler can be added aftermarket fairly easy. Especially if you are actually tracking the car regularly you are going to start changing things anyway.
Only thing you are missing out on are the Recaros, which make no sense why leather Recaros were not an option?
Hey, everyone has their preferences. Why offer the GT leather seats, when they could have put the leather Recaros in there? Really not sure what they were thinking there.I can't tell you Ford's reason but I will say I am absolutely done with leather seats. Its gotta be a Marketing Department decision. Recaro's have very limited adjustability and is all manual (4-way manual driver, 2-way manual passenger). People who order leather seats want all adjustments available and want everything motorized.Hey, everyone has their preferences.
