If running too cool was a problem, Ford would include thermostats. I suspect they did, as most things in life have a sweet spot temperature.
I hope you're right. It would be the best way to set it up. I know they have sensors to at least detect when the temperatures become too high, so it's possible those same sensors could be utilized in the way you describe.

However, even without the pump running, all that extra fluid and the radiators attached to the system will delay warm up. My transmission was very stiff this morning, and I ran in first gear all the way down my 1/4 mile long driveway. It's relatively warm at 40 degrees this morning.

Those coolers are going to be worth more than those junk leather seats at sync 3. Just sayin...

I'll throw something out there.....but just for another viewpoint. I ran 2-3 HPDE's a month in a highly modified 2000 Cobra R and then then same in a SCCA prepped Z06 Corvette. For what it's worth, from my experiences, the "faster"/"better" you get, the more you need those coolers - even in a 20+ minute session. As an example, for a beginner, tires will last great, for numerous weekends. A well-experienced "driver", could easily chew up a set of street tires in a weekend. With experience & speed it became very easy to overheat a rear end, even in a 20+ minute session without a diff cooler (especially on short, curvy courses). I would say that if you think you might "ever" want to track a car more than "occasionally", every cooler you can get will help the life of the car.

Yes, they're junk because they don't say Recaro on them.

Tone down the hyperbole.

Yes they are. They are junk because they are made for fat people. No business in a track car.

Ford Performance is gonna release diff and tranny coolers for base/tech pack car early next year.. and all cars come with engine oil coolers

it is pretty clear, that if you want everything as in tech+track, the easiest way to go is getting the tech pack.

Those coolers are going to be worth more than those junk leather seats at sync 3. Just sayin...

You're making us Track Pack owners look like BMW drivers...pretentious and arrogant.

You do realize it takes 20 minutes of continued hard tracking before the coolers actually start to show their true benefit, right?

A quarter mile is done in 12 seconds.

The average autocross run is 50 - 80 seconds.

Track days typically run at 15 - 20 minute sessions.

99% of us probably don't do wheel to wheel racing.

Half of my reason for wanting the Track Pack is because of less phrils. The other half is because of the hardware. Nothing wrong with the Tech Pack if someone wants a GT car with some character.

AMEN to what "nastang87xx" said. Ford would have never gone to the trouble and expense of making 2 different packages if they didn't feel like there would be two different "types" of buyers............and there are.........so it was a good decision by Ford to make the packages !

Source? The Track Pack and R trans coolers are integrated into the transmission. It will not be a direct bolt on affair IF it happens for that matter.

Huh, glad you are so certain. Personally I disagree. I think the tech pack cars are going to be more desirable. But then again, that's what I like. :)

Of course if you drive mostly on the street and have cool weather most of the time, the coolers are just extra weight slowing you down and potentially shortening the life of the transmission and rear diff.

I think the GT350 is first a street car, but if you really are going to drive it exclusively on the track or at least spend more time on the track than the street I would consider that you don't have Recaros only because you think they are cool rather than because you actually need them.

yes they are integrated for track and R. but it doesn't mean you can't add an external cooler

sources are:
1. in the extra page came with the owner's manual they specifically mention for hardcore track application please install catch can, tranny cooler and diff cooler for base/tech pack car. which implies they will come out with their own lines of product

2. on the 'other' forum, where they leaked the trackey info, they said tranny cooler and diff cooler are in development for base/tech car, should be available next year
