There is plenty here on the forum for you to read about the topic.I didn’t have the noise with stock exhaust and now I do I’m blaming my exhaust
That's the "2k rattle"
But that’s just it it just sounds like plastic buzzing against something. Not something mechanical and is a 2k rattle a bad thing? I don’t understand lol because I even posted in the thread where everyone posts stuff like this and they agreed it’s from my exhaust and something in my dash just buzzingThere is plenty here on the forum for you to read about the topic.
I assure you that your aftermarket exhaust has no bearing on it other than the timing of your install and the mileage on your car and the rattle showing up. It will eventually show itself while in neutral and you revving it to the 1700-3000 rpm range as well especially when it's hot.
My car has it intermittently ....sometimes never there...sometimes always there.
The noise is emitted high up on the firewall behind the dash and why I have always believed it has to do with the intake manifold runner control (iMRC)
I watched a few YouTube videos and mine sounds nothing like them honest to God mine sounds like an interior buzzI'm not trying to feed you any koolaide. It is what is though
Is it a bad thing? Who knows and Ford has yet to address it.

No but I will I was looking into where the headlights control button are located trunk release and sunglasses holder is located also the little speaker on the a pillarDid you have a passenger try pushing down around the top and center of the dash area, and other areas on the dash while you're driving around making the noise? It's easier for a passenger to listen for the source of noises if it's coming from the interior.
