Takata Airbag Recall

[GT350/BT55]

I have a '17 gt350.
Anyone know if this is all '17 mustangs lock stock and barrel?
I have not recd a recall notice but I did rec a class action notice in yesterdays mail from

Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017 F-150 and Mustang vehicles. The air bag inflator within the passenger frontal air bag module may rupture in the event of a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag module, free of charge. The recall began October 11, 2017. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 17S26.

Recall says approx 650 units affected so I doubt it is all '17 Mustangs.

Quick research on internet shows it is 2005-2014 Mustang. If so will not affect us since GT 350 was not in production again yet.

Not true . . . I checked the Takata recall website and entered the VIN on my 2016, and it says my car is an eligible subject vehicle for the recall. Only Ford says I cannot submit because a recall hasn't been issued at this time for my GT350. I'm on standby.

My 13 GT was part of the recall for 2 1/2 years, I couldn't trade the car in for a new mustang until about six months ago.... Because they can't fix it and sell it on the lot, If my new 17 Mustang has an airbag recall that's it, I'm done with ford... And I've been driving the Mustang since the 87 GT came out. ... This is ridiculous.

The airbag recall has affected many other brands and their models. They are replacing them as fast as they can, but there are millions and millions of cars being recalled, and that just takes time. That's reality. If you want to throw a fit and leave a brand for something that's out of Ford's control, by all means do so.

I had the recall done on my 12 GT about 2 years ago before getting the GT350. I remember reading a short time later that while they were in the midst of recalling and replacing the Takata air bag initiators - the automakers were still installing the same defective units in new production. Which should ensure this recall extends almost perpetually.

Great - that's about the same time frame of mine #1169. Guess I need to check it out.

Well maybe not - is that 6/17/2016 or June 2017.
