I saw on Lethal's site that you have to uninstall Magnaride with a T56 swap. Can someone explain why?

Magnaride won’t work in drag mode like it would with stock D4. It uses the feed back from shifter location to change the shock settings. The MT82D4 "feeds" the magnaride system and adapts the ride control by gear. It will throw a DSC code and require the magnaride to be deleted.

I was under the impression that the 2018's didn't have that functionality.

So MagneRide is tied to the transmission too? Doesn't make sense to me. Tied to speed yes, but it shouldn't matter if you're in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear, no? Don't see the relevance. Somebody please enlighten me on that :).

There is a 6 pin sensor on the side that is tied into the magneride fine tuning.. as stated previously. It will throw codes and limit the car to 80 mph if not deleted.

Can we get more clarification on the 18's? Or is it just the same situation.

I thought all that gear tracking trans talk back gear was in the 19+ aswell

Really want to get rid of this mt82, but i can't afford a magna delete aswell 😓

Look for this on the left side of the transmission, *way* up high. The '19 service manual wiring shows it, interesting if the '18s also have it.

Well that sucks! No way would I delete magneride to swap to a T56. I’d bet there’s a way around it but nobody has put the effort into finding it yet.

That is 19+. 18's don't have it. (used for rev matching primarily)

Can it be modified to accept that 6 pin sensor?
