Part of me doesnt think its the module. Another ford tech told me the same thing that the module dies. My car is out of warranty so im not going to have them mess with it.

These past few colder months, the screen stopped ghost touching so then I tried to use apple car play again but then the issue came back up again. So maybe it really is the screen itself??
I don’t know, but they replace the module and here is again. I’m considering to buy the screen by myself at the Ford OEM parts online and install it myself. Dealers like to keep any simple work for long time. Also they always scratch something, always. I have an extended warranty so it is $100 deductible or to pay $500 and install it myself. I know, why to pay extended warranty if you are considering not to use it? Well, mainly to cover more serious issues like engine, electrical system, transmission and so on. But yeah, let me go tomorrow at the closest dealer and see what is the feeling.
My steering wheel has been making a noise since day one like something was broken or loose inside. I wanted to think maybe something was making contact, but I don't think so. Why not just do that every time?
I think it is the screen. Last time the tech guy told me no to connect my phone by cable to avoid garbage data corrupting the system. So no phone, no cable, nothing. It must be the creen.

Does anyone knows if you can replace yourself the display screen without having to take the car to the dealer to resetting/setting/syncing anything related with car mileage?

I asked for a quote to this part and the parts agent replied back this:

“I spoke to my manager and I was told after asking that we are not able to sell these because of having to special order and that there are certain things that would need to be done so please ignore the quote I sent over. And my boss said this is something you would have to order locally at your dealership like a cluster because of mileage having to be programmed in by Ford which they would need an open Repair order for.”

I’m able to buy this part here: https://www.onlinepartssource.com/oem-parts/ford-display-system-gr3z10d885fa

Anyone?

Ford, Dodge (have no experience with Chevrolet) have the worse customer service at the service department. I went there to talk with the advisor as I was told but first time he wasn’t there, never took a call or did a call back, so I have to drive there 2 times with the screen ghosting the touch and changing everything, to avoid a lot of on/off settings I had to reset the sync screen 7-10 times. The first thing that this asshole told me was: “who told you to come to see me?” Is this guy stupid?? I have to pause, breath and keep in calm. I explained him, but he never looked up, he kept doing whatever was more important he was doing. Finally he told me: “leave your keys and when we can see the car, we will let you know”. I told him that I won’t leave any keys and turned my back to avoid fuc**ing his day. I called my salesman (the guy that sold me the car) and he told me, bring it, wait and done. To check that damn screen and just verify that stupid issue it won’t take more than 30min. Then open a ticket, request the part and when it arrives, call me to bring the car and a 1-2 hours job. Done! Why dealers like to keep cars, to leave them open at night, scratch it, dent a door, and leave it getting dust? At the end of the day, we “pay” their salaries and they treat customers like they were doing is a favor.

I have the same ghost touch issues on my 2021 Mach 1. It typically will hit the "Apps" button but nothing else yet and it's intermittent. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't. I've relented that it's a bad DIN (both 2021 and 2021 are known for bad DINs). For now I'm just dealing with it.

Occasionally when I redline it it also shuts the bluetooth off and I have to turn off the radio and turn back on to get it back on.

I have the extended warranty as well and don't want the dealership to touch it. Some dealers travel to you and do the work at your home, but I haven't been able to find one locally that does that.

The display screen will cost me $500 (Unit+Taxes+Shipping), and my extended warranty has a $100 copay. So, it will cost $400, but I have carbon fiber trim, which is very thin and feels so damn weak that I fear to break it. So maybe I will save the $400 and let them do it. I don't think that guy can come to my home because the dealer won't allow him. I will ask anyway; there is nothing to lose.

I'm just holding out at this point, if it gets worse I'll have to take it in.

It will... Don't let them replace the module. It is not the module, it is the screen unit. I have to go back because the first time they said it was the module (assuming).
