So my car was in the shop for a little bit and I guess the dealership wanted to be nice and wash my car before they gave it back without telling me. So of course they scratched the hood when lifting the wipers. When getting some paint film redone, decided to asked the guy where to get some touch up paint since he should know a good place. I went to the website but there are several paint codes for magnetic metallic: FM6E, FM6EWHA, FM6EXWA, J7, and M7325A. Which one is for our cars? I put it was a 2016 mustang, but still gives me all these options. Thanks

Magnetic is paint code J7

https://www.amazon.com/2015-2016-Ford-Lincoln-Magnetic-PMPC-19500-7325A/dp/B014LMWDZM

I'd say "make the dealer fix it" but they'd just fuck up something else.

Steve16 originally I told the manager then said never mind, thinking they would just mess up more. My Paint film on the hood is one big piece and I do not want to replace $600 in case things get worse

Thanks for the quick reply, after you said J7 I was like, I recognize that. That code is on those production numbers spreadsheets going around

Uhmmmm am I missing something here?

At the very least have your dealer supply you with some Ford touch up paint...no?

Hold on, Ford dealer damaged your car while it was in there possession ? Sounds like u should be getting a free trip to the dealerships paint/body shop not some crap touch up paint. I think you need to redirect your efforts here.

Oh I see u have PPF, makes it more complicated. Get a free oil change or 2 out of them.

Dont use those touch up paints factory sells or other companies do. Find a body shop, have them read your paint codes with the computer and mix the actual paint on the spot. You will thank me for it trust me:)

Same thing happened to me. The dealer will fix AND supply you with a bottle of touch-up paint. Just ask.

It's a simple fix that does not require the painting of the entire hood.
