Ive googled a lot on this, but havent seen much information on if sync3 will support Windows 10 Mobile like it will with Android and Apple Car. I dont think it will unfortunately, the Win Mobile market is probably too small...

Reason being i do like the recent lumia 950xl, and want/need a dualsim phone.. ive pretty much had it running around with 2 mobiles, 2 whatsapps, etc.. Though I am waiting to see what OnePlus does bring with the new Android OP3....

it'll suck for all the customers who purchase sync 3 without nav relying on car play update coming out

Yea sync is AWFUL...... I'm no bowtie fan but my friend's GMC uses carplay and it is light years beyond sync... Not even in the same ballpark :( C'mon Ford!!!

The Apple CarPlay update will only be available on 2016 vehicles with SYNC 3. We haven't been informed of the exact cost for the hardware, but is due to be released later this year. Your patience is much appreciated!

I hope you and your collegues understand customer frustration with lack of information over the course of months especially since the '17s seem to have much of what we're asking about. Despite the 'teaser' information put out, we're sticking with our cars :ford:

Could you at least let us know what the hardware change consists of? There's a ton of resourceful people on this thread who might want to consider their own approach to the hardware upgrade.

I would also appreciate any new info on the transmission and differential cooler fix :lol:
