Sync 3.4 Update

Apparently there is an update available for the Sync system on my '21 GT. Ver. 3.4.22251. What is the best way to do the update? Have there been any glitches with this version? My system currently works fine.

I upgraded my 2019 Ford Fusion from 3.4.21194 and had some troubles with my phone and bluetooth on the first day and the second day. The phone would not connect over bluetooth or over Android Auto/USB. I would then go to the bluetooth devices menu and it would not let me delete my phone. I also would not see the car in the phone's bluetooth devices list. I could only do a Master Reset in the Sync settings menu and then re-add the phone. This happened again the second day.

I have since gone 5 more days of daily driving and had no issues since then, so maybe it was just temporary. I haven't had any other issues with Sync except those two days and the bluetooth devices menu freezing.

I've currently got the 21194 version on my car also. I've been around the Sync system since '18 with my F150 so I know to be suspicious of these updates. I'll ask the dealer about it when/if I need to take the car in. Thanks for the info.

It's been out for a while now, since January I think. Just grab it from the Ford website and follow the instructions. it's an easy process that you can't really mess up.
