That means that OEM navi uses sdcard for maps? When you order Navi does it comes with a sdcard?

I believed that only third party brand names use sdcard for source.

I think is Ford proprietary system.
However the back of the package of the sd-card reports many brands like Nokia Here, Telenav, Michelin, Sync and FoMoCo.

Mmm no I don't think this is the case. You can find many of these sd cards on ebay, I believe they works in all Ford navi systems without issues. Only differences is that we can't simply use a map created for US navi version: we need a versione made specifically for ours. A sort of region-lock thing.

Yes. But obviously that doesn't void the many OEM contracts Nokia/Here has. As a matter of fact those are what made it an attractive company to buy.

Peugeot and Citroen both use Navteq systems with HERE (Nokia) maps and you buy a new sd card to replace the current one, the card slots into radio area...

Question for the owners from Belgium and the Netherlands... Is it possible to set the voice control and the instrument panel to dutch? Or is it in english? Suppose voice control will not "understand" dutch?

Yes you have English UK, German, French and Dutch. Although my dealer set it to dutch it was one of the first things I changed, the Dutch voice is boring and annoying.

Happy with sync2. use BT audio mainly for spotify (offline downloaded tracks).
If a second user (at home) takes over control and you take it back, no sound anymore. You'll have to select another source and switch back to the phone in the entertainment menu...
With 2 sons using one spotify account sometimes it's WAR !!
