I'm switching from a pair of 16 heat extractors(white) for a pair of 15 heat extractors(black). I want to keep the turn signal and I'm wondering if anyone has taken out or swapped the turn signal. I'm wondering how it is held into place, because from most aftermarket kits it seems that they use 3M tape, so I'm wondering if thats how it is from the factory. Any further information would help a lot.

From the research I've done it's 2 torx screws attaching the signal to the heat extractor. Your best bet would be to source a set of 2016 OEM Black Extractors. I recently grabbed a set off eBay from New Take Off. The fit and finish will more then likely be much much better if you stick with a 2016 set.

I can take pics later if you still need this info. I switched out a set yesterday. Can't remember exactly but it looked like the signals were seated in there pretty well.

i plasti dipped mine over the weekend, the signals are held in by 2 torx screws and 3 little clips. they are secure but easily removable.
