Yeah they do have varible timing. I think i have narrowed it down to the tune. Car is still broken, Though. Apprently Roush uses a specific Honda tensioner for the SC. Really difficult to find oddly enough. And to add to it I am in Germany.
Man! I feel you
it's madness when you want to figure what causes the issue yet the resources are limited.
Good luck man, try to reach a tuner who is expert enough to take sometime reading logs!

Same surging issue here plus my rpm really lags and drops real slow making my exhaust annoying pulling up to a light. Had this issue only after the Roush phase 2 was installed so I switched to vmp tune and still did it and they just told me the car is fine they don’t see any issues really wish this can be resolved already so many people have this

sir, its surfacing that Lund is not good/lazy. It looks driver induced because the car rocks you rock, your foot rocks.

Nope sorry. Ruled that out by using the cruise control over and over. I never said they weren't good or lazy just that they wont spend the time to really dig into the issue. I get it they have thousands of other customers. I just need someone willing to spend the time and figure out what is causing it.

For what they charge they should bend over backward for every customer.

Finally an update....
I think I have narrowed my issue down.
After contacting several Tuners, Ortiz Performace actually dove into the datalogs and said

"Did you get OPGs done by any chance? I'm seeing the exhaust cam slightly advanced and during the surging, one intake cam is off by about 1 degree while the other is at 0."

Yes OPG were upgraded and leads me to believe that one side may be off a tooth?
I am going to tear it apart this weekend and reset to TDC and HOPEFULLY that fixes this issue. I am still going to have to get a new tune since the tune was done after the OPG.

Thoughts?

6 months later? Sounds like an issue with the tuner. I would drop Lund.

Great news,
Make sure you check the marking on the Opg itself! Some of those were off spec due to wrong marking. Just make sure you had the right one.
Keep us posted:)

I will do that!
Do you know if the harmonic balancer requires a special puller or will any 3 jaw remover be sufficient?

I honestly did the installation at a professional shop but this link might help figuring out how to remove them if you don't have the proper kit.
