just to correct gibbo a little the roush and whipple are basically the same SC uses the same Eaton scrolls inside (roush is scroll same as whipple) both on 2.9l capacity main difference is packaging whipple brings most of the stuff forward throttle bodies etc roush leaves it at the back. dropped engine mounts can do roush without cutting if I understand the rednecks correctly.

And for that matter a Harrop is also an Eaton TVS blower.

I'm in the same boat as you but at the moment the mustang is a daily driver hence I realistically cannot go SC yet. Maybe in the near future it will become a weekend toy at which point I will reconsider. For me it would be the harrop or the whipple.

What sort of mpg are the supercharged uk crowd getting in daily traffic? I'm averaging 22 mpg on my 12 mile commute. I would accept 18mpg but couldn't bear much less as I would be spending too much time filling it up.

If you choose the stock new my18 Mustang then you will never know what it is like to be supercharged unless you of course add one later on.
I was not particularly impressed with the power I got from my supercharger versus the cost.
But I have now gone Lund (thanks Pumabuild) and the difference is huge,so huge I busted my diff in the first week and am awaiting repair.Be warned though that ÂŁ10k is only the starting point ,it will undoubtedly end up more than that.

Also be wary of huge power figures quoted for Superchargers out of the box. There is a lot of bovine waste matter out there that you need to take with a pinch of salt.Maybe have a word with Alan at Pumabuild as he has fitted Whipple to his car and will tell you straight what to expect, And importantly he has a Non generous Dyno to test before /after.

Great advise from all and SC is a personal choice and what you initially want from your car. I went FR/Roush as it has the initial 670 bhp and more power upgrades available if I want. I also aided Steeda slotted brakes to combat brake fade. A upgraded one piece DSS aluminium prop shaft and DSS half shafts to take the power. Kooks headers and FR Borla Touring cat back exhaust.
There have also been a large amount of hidden modifications under the bonnet that compliment the supercharger kit. These includes:
Steeda adjustable engine mounts – to lower the centre of gravity of the car and let the supercharger fit the engine bay more comfortably.
Uprated oil pump gears – to eliminate the weakness in the coyotes’ oil system.
Uprated crank shaft timing gear – eliminating another weak link in the 5.0 coyote.
MMR oil cooler kit – This deletes the oil to water cooler that is prone to failure on the RHD cars and replaces it with an air to oil cooler for more efficient cooling. Not a cheap route but well worth it, Big thanks to Mike at Modurstang.:amen::thumbsup:

Told you all along Lund was the way to go buddy, they make so much more power and the car drives so much better on their tune. :)

Lol at "bovine waste matter" and thanked you for the honesty! Too many never come back and post about the negatives so .

Now that is a very good idea, and if you really truly let seriously interested potential customers try it somewhere safe before ordering then I applaud you, this could be a first.

Test drives are the reason we're doing it. We let customers test drive Ford GTs so this is not a problem.

Go for the 18 then super charge that at a later date, then you've done both things you've asked for advice on.
