Here are some pictures of the SunTek clear bra that I had installed last week. I'm very happy with the results. Just thought I'd post this to give you guys an idea of what this product looks like installed.

Can I ask what they charged you? I did a car myself 2 years ago and it came out pretty good and has held up well. Not sure every film company has patterns. Does the SunTec product fit well ?

The guy pays a monthly subscription to use SunTek programs. They have a pattern specifically made for our car. The material is custom cut by a large computerized cutter. I paid $640 and they wrapped:
1. first 18" of the hood
2. Bumper
3. All the Lights
4. Front part of the Fenders
5. bottom 2" of the trunk door (so I don't scratch it closing the door)
6. inside the door handles

Yeah, I could have highlighted it but it just goes to show that it blends very well with the paint.

They did a nice job. Having done this before, and looking at all the angles and transitions on the S550 nose, I can tell you this is a labor intensive job and patience is needed.

Yeah, he told me that in materials it's only about $200 but the install takes a lot of work. It took him about 5 to 6 hours to install.

Hello there ! Question, I just had a Suntek installed on the first 30 inches of my hood, side of fenders, and back of mirrors. While washing my car I saw the curves in the vent on the hood come off the surface and I have 3 bubble/creases on each of the mirror backs!! Have you seen any similar problems on yours?

Did they prep the surface well before they installed it? (polish, wax, decon, etc)

Well I would like to think so, But I can't be enitirely sure it was spotless in the moments right before it was installed. I'm going back soon to finish the bumper and I'll ask them about the wrinkles , but I didn't know if I was asking for too much since I know not everything can be perfect .

the imperfections your taking about are do to the installer. It is possible to have a nearly perfect install. It just takes time and lots of practice.

I am planning to use Suntek as well.

I have a few questions:

- Color fade over time: would the back half of the car look different from the front half? Color would fade faster at the back since it isn’t covered, right?

- What is the maintenance? How do I clean it? Would wax work?

- Can I apply a paint sealant (Opti-Coat, for example) on the bra?

- What if I have some damage, how do I get rid of it? I know if it’s a rock penetrating through the bra, then there isn’t anything I can do. But what about scuff or scratches or light rock marks?

- Do you tip the installer?

- I have a black car. Are there any worries you may have for it?

Thanks.
