Sun visor stickers

Sorry if this has been covered before, a search brought up no results.

Are the stickers on the sun visors removable? Mine don't want to budge and I don't want to damage them.

They are basically a permanent fixture. They are applied with head I believe and are more like a T-shirt Iron on. They are not stickers. If you remove it, you will be left with a nasty looking spot where the adhesive bonded to the fabric.

I believe you can remove them with the right solvent, but its a long tedious process and the cloth visors may end up a bit grey instead of black. They'd be easier to remove if the visors were vinyl themselves instead of cloth.

So, I bought some black vinyl wrap, cut to size, and just stickered over them.

Yeah, there's a couple of vendors that even sell overlays for them, already cut, if you don't want to track down the materials.

+1 for Zombie !! I have these and they are great. Hate those nasty, bright yellow stickers that come on the car. I no longer see them.

Yes, they come off. No, it's not simple. Though with a bit of effort it's the best method IMO as any of the stickers I tried all had some form of glare, and in the heat they eventually started to peel. I think I would have tried another method mentioned here which is to get some black feltish material from a craft store like Michael's, cut it to spec, and lightly glue it on, giving it a matte cloth texture almost as good as a perfect removal.

I took a 99 cent plastic folder, cut it to size and used double sided tape to cover mine. barely noticeable if you don't know to look for it.

I hate when I get the perfect picture and then I realize I left the visor down and all you can see is that yellow sticker

I might have to buy those vinyls mentioned above!

yep, I bought aftermarket ones for like $10 and they have worked perfectly

I heated the stickers up with a hair dryer and slowly peeled them off while keeping the hair dryer blowing on them. Cleaned up the residual glue with Goo-be-gone and a microfiber towel. It takes quite a while to get the mess cleaned off, but worth it. If you look closely, you can still see where the stickers used to be, but it's much less noticeable than the tape-overs I tried first.

Since the UK drivers has their steeringwheel on the right side i have sent an guy there to go order a right side sun visor for his car that he will send me when it arrives. its all about perfection =)
