Install alarm. Set the sensitivity high. When kids mess around and alarm goes off, come running out in your boxers holding a baseball bat with a pissed off look. Then look at the kids, change your demeanor to relieved/happy and say "Was that you kids? Oh okay, thought it was GOD DAMN FUCKING MEXICANS. Play safe! "

Kids will think you're crazy from now on and will be afraid to even walk near your car.

Ugh, so frustrating!!! I hate hate hate apartment living, esp with just a car port :(

I felt so much better finding one with an enclosed garage!! This was sealed for me when I first got my 12 GT, and some jackass plowed into my car, in the car port - then took off. After 4g damage that was the final straw.

Or turn on the garden hose. 100% guaranteed effective.
I have also surprised the neighbor cat from behind with water slung at him from a large cup. (He had taunted my cat "face-to-face" into tearing the screen door :tsk. I am ashamed to admit that was highly satisfying.

The garden hose thing would work on kids, too (in cool weather, anyway).
