does it need hardware, or use the bolts already there.

seen a few online that say - doesnt include hardware.

Used the bolts there. I did a bit of grinding and painted the exposed bit, no drama

^^^^ With these ones you re-use the flanged nuts that fix the K-Brace in place. That's what Snake Bite did.

According to the service manual those nuts are supposed to be discarded and not reused as they're self locking. That's why new braces come with new nuts. If they're correctly torqued I don't see a problem with reusing them and am certain almost every dealership would reuse them but just pointing out the official line.

Thanks Apsilon,

Post 2578 from this thread (link below) gives the part no. for the M10x1.5 flanged nuts that secure the Ford Performance strut brace.

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44889&page=172

The 3 nuts that secure the strut are M10x1.25 - I haven't got the part no. for those yet and as it is classed as a "fine" thread they seem to be a bit more difficult to source.

Better off buying the LHD one for around US$70 less. The only difference is the K brace and we already have that piece so regardless if you buy the LHD or RHD version you won't use it. The strut brace itself is the same.

Wow, that's pretty shithouse then. Was going to order one assuming that it's a no-fuss install.

For me American Muscle postage was about the same as Mustang Motorsport from Vic to Sydney, and the price I got mine from American Muscle was @ US$350 = A$450 when I purchased it. Mustang Motorsport was A$550

So I thought I'd save myself the difference, and even the cheap postage option from AM saw it arrive in about a weeks time..

^^^^ Hi Phil,

With the cheap postage from AM, did you end up having to pay any additional charges when the item arrived?

Cheers

Hi,

Nothing extra to pay, I think it had been opened for inspection as well. It came in a genuine Ford OEM part box with a value of $350 so all OK.
Cheers,
Phil

Yep, I originally ordered the RHD one assuming the same.
