still waiting to have the assessor in.
I plan to cash settle for the cost of repairs instead of just having them pay the panel beaters. That way I can organise my own repairs with aftermarket parts :-)
I will likely need a new bonnet... depends how much the insurance company is paying for a replacement.
I'll see if I can find out in the next few days.
I've been dead set on getting a cat back system since day one. After the H-pipe install I think I'm good for a while. love that aggressive rumble! I've also got an Airaid CAI coming soon too (no tune).
If you can't wait, then maybe get a set of cheap axle-backs to tide you over ;). I've seen...
I had a guy come up to me at a servo to have a chat about the car as his wife wants one :) I told him to get in quick before the dumb it down with the 2018 refresh haha.
A couple hours later I had a pair of young women checking it out and saying how they love the rego plate (NE1GH)
Picked up and installed a Mishimoto H-Pipe.
100% recommended. The build quality is phenomenal. After seeing pictures of the shoddy quality of the CJPP one, I'm glad I went with Mishimoto (even if the manufacturing issues of the CJPP were fixed...)
It adds a little bit extra volume, but it...
I did mine a bit over a month ago. As long as you have the tools (basic ratchet set, jack stands & screw drivers basically) it shouldn't take more than about 2 hours.
I disagree with the comment that getting the bumper off is the hardest; it's actually pretty straight forward and simple. I...
I think that you will still be disappointed by the sound. I read that the quiet mode is like 75dB and the loud mode is in the 80s (stock '15-'17 GTs come in at 85dB)
Didn't they retool the factory for LHD S550s in like July '14? Even if it was done at the beginning of '15, that's still a year delay for RHD builds.
If they follow a similar pattern, then you'd expect the first round to be delivered around December 2018.
It would be interesting to see...
Well I'll be F#$%ed.
I've wanted the Roush Active exhaust ever since I ordered my car a year ago. The $2,000 (AUD) price tag on the Active component put me off and I've been struggling to find a cheaper option.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to share this mod with the community :)
Normal space savers don't work due to the Big Ass Brembos. A company here in Australia is working with Levittown (I think) on a solution. They are in the final stage of the proto-typing phase right now :)
Speculation: Magneride will cost a pretty penny as an option (doesn't look like it will be standard based on the recently leaked order guide)
Also, I'm still saying we won't get the active exhaust on the export model; not even as an option. I mean, the stock exhaust comes in at 85dB... what...
I consider it to be very reliable.
I have had mine for 2 months now and have had no flat battery issues. I actually sat in my car (engine off) listening to some music whilst killing time waiting for somebody. after about 20-30 minutes I heard her say something like "powering down due to low...
I bought some of these as well. Not sure if it was the same seller though.
The finish on them is definitely worth the money. That said, they are hollow, not solid, and do not have the mounting tabs on them. The supplied tape is not the greatest in terms of cutout - they slightly protrude past...
