Not really a fan of the factory OTT stripes. So the big question is leave as is or remove them ? Opinions appreciated.

If you don't like them, remove them. Just dont change your mind and decide to put them back on. The OEM stripes cost much Dinero.

Me? I like the stripes. Its part of owning a shelby IMHO.

The Czech flag dealer tag is pretty cool, especially since it's so similar to the TX flag.

My vote is to keep the stripes. Like @Tomster said, it's kinda a Shelby thing. Plus if you ever decide to sell the car, it could be a strike against it if they were removed.

^ Agree to keep them since you paid for them........and it differentiates you Shelby from other Mustangs.

I’ve kicked around the same thoughts.
If I ordered a car I wouldn’t of included stripes, black roof yes but no stripes. Turned out I found a deal on one with both. Was going to remove the stripes but they grew on me......Maybe next summer when they are easier to remove they‘ll come off. All you have to do is look at them and they scratch. My paint color is the same as yours, you’ll really like that, it doesn’t show dirt.
Choice is yours.

Edit: Just realized you bought a ‘17. If the stripes are in great shape you may want to keep them. You may have some sun fade that doesn’t happen under the stripes. Won’t know until you peel them off.

Neither. Have them painted on like God intended.

I am a fan of the stripes but I always disliked the factory stripe quality and the white thin stripe never made sense to me. The car is virtually all black and gray tones so the white stood out too much. I decided to remove the factory stripes and replace them with Big Worm Graphix out of Texas. I opted for a light charcoal pinstripe (3M brand for the pinstripe).

Used big worm to replace my gloss black with white stripes with a satin black with silver stripes. Of course Ford then followed suit on the 2019 and 2020 pairing silver with their black stripes moving forward.

I got tired of the cluttered look of the stripes after 2 years of ownership. My next one will not have stripes. Sure some people connect them to Shelby. In my opinion these cars have nothing to do with Shelby but the name. That’s just my perspective on these cars. They mean something different to each of us and we all have different tastes.

You do you.

FWIW, I like the striped look although the factory stripes are not the best quality.

Live with them for awhile and see if they grow on you. If they do you can always change them to something more to your liking. If not pull them. Personally, i think your car looks awesome just as it is.
