I also have an HE here in Austin. Live in Leander. I saw an R about a year ago up this way also - believe they live in the Liberty Hill area. So there's at least 3 HEs in the local area.
I didn't even think to look before ordering because previous filters I bought - same one - came with 2 o-rings. Don't know why the most recent order didn't have them. Could be permanent, could be a temporary issue caused by a lack of o-rings to include........
I received mine today and also no o-rings. I called and the guy that answered said they went through all the remaining inventory and none of them have o-rings. The guy to contact is out until Thursday so he said call back then.......which I will do and post an update.
Thx. I have a local one person shop that has changed it 3 times before this one. I supply 10 quarts of oil and the FL2087 filter and they do the labor. In the past it's been right at the top dot so its higher this time - my guess is that they didn't let all the old oil drain out before...
I had the oil changed on Friday and when I checked it this morning (sitting overnight in a cold garage) the level was slightly above the top dot. Do I take it back on Monday and have a half quart (or less) drained out or do I leave it as is. I know it's not good to overfill an engine but will...
I have the Auto Fanatic rock guards. I made sure I followed his video to install them and they have stayed attached. No matter which one you get the key is proper prep and installation as they are almost identical.
Warrant is the key for me. The basic warrant on the '16 has expired and you won't be able to get a Ford ESP on it. If you are going to keep the car look into purchasing a 19 or newer and an ESP from one of the "usual suspects." Just do a search on ESP on the forum and the cheapest few will...
I expect every state has slightly different laws but here in TX, it is illegal to sell a vehicle without the catalytic converters installed. Texas law prohibits any person from selling, offering for sale, leasing, or offering to lease any vehicle not equipped with all emission control systems...
I could be wrong but it looks like a Ford ESP for 7 years / 100K miles was purchased on the car. You can purchase them for a variety of # of Years / Miles and they are transferrable if you pay a fee depending on state.
The car cover was not included - it was an option. There are basic front and rear floor mats included. I purchased aftermarket mats with the Shelby logo that are much nicer than the OEM mats.
