I keep ripping axle boots, a common problem with both regular S550 and GT350 axles in racing and/or when lowered very much.

Anyone with experience with stretch CV boots? Or know any manufacturer that makes more flexible aftermarket CV boots I can try and find an off the shelf boot with the correct dimensions? Nobody markets an aftermarket CV boot for our cars other than the GT4 inner boot, but hoping there is another boot out there that has similar/same dimensions and better flexibility.

Ford does sell boots but apparently are nearly impossible to fit on the axle, not stretchy at all. Maybe part of the reason they tear so easily.

For the stretch boots, I've read mixed reviews. But given how stiff our stock boots are and how easily/quickly they tear I'm thinking maybe worth a shot? How much worse could they be than a boot that tears within a thousand miles of new?

You might try moving the inner part of the boot, further down the axle shaft, thereby spreading out the ribs so they dont touch each other. This is a common mod on Toyota Tacomas that suffer the same thing when lifting. Just cut off the clamp, move the small part of the boot further down the shaft, and install a new clamp or hose clamp

Yeah, no. Sounds like an opportunity to try @SheepDog 's tip first. Save $$$.

Thank you for the suggestion. I was wondering about doing something like this so appreciate the idea. I was just wondering how to figure out if I should slide the boot to compress or extend it? need to measure and cycle the suspension without the coilover in and see.

You need to extend it, so that the ribs don't rub against each other when spinning, and while the suspension cycles up and down.
