I have a 15 PP1 400A GT and it has a very strange electrical setup. I have this lug attached at the fuse panel underhood.

It leads to this fuseholder with a 10A fuse.

That goes underneath the fuse panel and is taped to a black wire that run down into a harness

Anybody venture a guess? Judging by the tape job and fuse holder, this is not a factory setup. With the black wire running down into the factory sheathing, I am wondering where this black wire was attached originally and where it is going. Again wth!!!! Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

Maybe a GPS tracking unit.?? Some dealers have been known to install them. Can you trace the wire back to its end??

Not so far. I followed it to where it is going inside the sheath with the factory harness. The black wire looks to big compared to the awg of the factory stuff

Some finance company's have dealers install them. Look over your paper work as it may be in the fine print.

I will do some more digging, and report back. Pulling the fuse is funny as hell but effective lol.

Update: crawled around and followed the wire to....wait for it........trailer light connector. Go figure. I have been on this earth for almost 60 yrs and I do not recall a mustang pulling a trailer 😂
I agree, I never gave a thought to a Mustang, any Mustang, being a tow vehicle.
But I have seen on this forum several people use them to tow and/or to use bike racks or extra storage.
In fact there is at least one quite extensive thread about which tow hitch is best.
If I recall, the owners manual lists the Mustang as rated to tow 1000 lbs.

If you're an autocrosser or track day enthusiast who's more serious than "arrive and drive on the DD tires" but not serious enough to have invested in a trailer for the car and a separate tow vehicle to tow all that, a half-size tire trailer starts making a lot of sense.

I used to tow all sorts of stuff with my Dodge Stratus RT V6. You would be amazed how stable a stiff suspension low profile tire car is. It was rock solid, I bet a Mustang would be too. I have a truck now, so I won’t attempt to tow my boat with the Stang! 🤪
