ALSO, if you want to trigger a super quick Learning Procedure, Push the Power button once (do not start), then flip/toggle the Hazard/Warning Flasher switch 3-times up/down, and BAM, start the procedure.

Everytime I change my tires, I inflate them to 37psi (I do it higher than I normally would so I would notice the change), drive the same route, and the tpms would always update in the same spot on my route.

Looked it up on google maps, and it was right at 2 miles.

This is agreed 100% I inform all the members I do setups on you dont need them anymore this is the awesome thing about the S550.
Thank you Paul, this is what sets you apart from many of the other vendors that fail to speak-up and tell a customer the tool is not required when they specifically inquire about it during the purchase of a new TPMS set.

Yep, I never had to do anything when I got my wheels from N4SM, TPMS just worked. The only time I had a problem was when I took a road trip and tossed the old PP wheel in the trunk as a spare.... apparently 5th wheel = divide by zero.

I noticed this when I flashed my tune. The TPMS was showing "---" for a bit then eventually it came back. I thought something got hosed at first.

I had to replace a sensor and valve stem on one wheel. I tried the manual relearn where you turn the car to off and to ACC three times or something, don't really remember. After that you go to the tire it tells you too and release air pressure until the horn beeps. It worked on all the tires except the tire I replaced the sensor and valve stem on. I ended up buying the tool and got the same results. It turned out I needed to unscrew the stem form the sensor and reattach it before the sensor turned on. I did not need the tool after all. I do like it better its much faster than releasing the air. I never tested just driving and seeing if it would pick it up. I was not happy finding out the tool was as expensive as it is. Couldn't ford/ someone make a smart phone app that replaces this tool?

this has literally been a thing since like 2010 on the Mustangs and probably a similar time for the rest of the Ford family.

I do see how the car might start reading from all four sensors, but I don't see how the car would be able to figure out which wheel is on which corner of the car without training.

There would be an easy way to test this. Just over inflate one tire by 3 to 4 psi, then either change it's position on the car or train the car incorrectly on purpose. Drive your 25 miles or so and see if the tire pressure display changes the position of the over inflated tire to it's actual position.
I lost my training device -- I swap mine back and forth all the time (track/autocross tires) and have had no issues.

I've had a low tire, and moved it around. The TPMS system found it right away.

Bump, still see people wondering if they need a learning tool.

Can we get a Moderator or Admin to sticky this?

correct that is a standard tpms swap or switch, the shop does that and boom nothing else needed to be done.
