I emailed Scosche again and they have no eta for the 15-16 in dash kit yet. Must be more difficult than expected. Last I checked with them eta was a release for SEMA possibly.

Man haven't been on here in forever. I got lost when everyone was talking about the wiring and programming of MFT. Not a big electrical guy so I gave up on understanding that. What's all this new stuff with TylerM35?? Do we have an easy solution for base model upgrade yet? Really don't want to go back and read through that many pages so any information would be awesome!

Any aftermarket dash kits in the works yet?

I just contacted Metra & Scosche again asking if they have a dash kit to add an aftermarket head unit planned or in the works yet. I'll update if/when I hear back, probably mid next week. Do we still think due to the expense of the circuit board mod involved that the aftermarket continues to feel their solution would be more expensive than the market would buy en mass? It certainly would not be the < $100 plastic dash kit of days gone by.

I'm still holding out hopes for an eventual head unit upgrade to get superior sound along with the larger 8" screen from my 4.3" base screen & stereo.
I am a dreamer.

From the back side, it looks like the driving controls, hvac controls and stereo all share the same PCB. This is a shame as it would be super easy to just make a piece of plastic with a 2x DIN hole with places to just replace our factory hvac/driving controls.

That may not be possible unless somebody can come up with some sort of replacement circuit boards for hvac etc, that replace the factory 1-piece PCB.

Why couldn't they make this easier?? Arg, I miss not having surround sound in my car.

I got a few back and forth emails w/ Metra today, but no real info.

I asked if they had something in the works now OR any plan to do a kit in the future. Andres w/ tech support said: "Dave, I will not that information. I know that they looked into it because it’s marked as pending."

This same time last year when I asked, they said 'not sure when, but probably not until year end' (meaning end of 2015). So I'm guessing they have looked at it but have not been motivated to pursue it due to needing to re create an HVAC AND radio PC board, which is a recipe for troubles from what I hear from others familiar with similarly complicated (and expensive) kits from the past.

So bottom line, it does not look encouraging at this point.
