I installed mine yesterday. I get some difficulty going into first and second. The rest of the gears are very smooth. What could be the issue? Is there a break in period?

Which springs did you use?

Stiffer ones.
There's your answer, I used the shorter, less stiff spring and it was a little stiff in the beginning. Either I got used to it or it got easier with use.

What troubles me is that it seems to completely lock me out of first and second. It takes a few tries and some effort... I will give it some time and see. Not happy so far though.

Try the softer springs maybe?

I have read few time in this thread that the stiff springs are quite stiff.

This seems like you may not have seated everything correctly. I had zero issues with lockout from the moment I installed mine.

I would definitely swap in the softer springs then.

I had slight troubles at the start getting "locked out" of 6th, but all it was, was me just not quite holding the stick with enough force to the right when going down from 5th due to even the "soft" springs being stiffer than stock. I got used to it after about a week and haven't had an issue in months.

So either just keep in mind you need to consciously apply more sideways force until it becomes 2nd nature, or switch to the softer springs.

I used stiffer ones. Have no issues. Maybe something not installed properly

Problem was fixed!

For some reason my setup did not like any of the springs. As per steedas recommendation we removed both springs and the shifter is very smooth in all gears. Much less vibrations to.

Big thanks to steeda and steeda.ca for their help with this!!!
