Steeda ultralite input?

Technically isolators are optional if the metal spring seat is designed to contain the spring. Lots of cars with no isolator on the bottom - haven't seen and new cars like that though.

Our cars' suspension bits were designed to have isolators.

I love this Steeda 3/8" spacer. Super easy to install, and great craftsmanship of the part. My findings are as follows:

PP = 255/40/19, 275/40/19
M350 = 295/30/19, 325/30/19

9.5mm spacer above rear spring lowered front splitter 6.35mm, and raised the rear 12.7mm

This is the spacer. I installed it above the pad isolator. Super easy because the Ultralites are short.

Track feedback

Impressions of the springs and sways on track was fair. Front sway at full soft, rear in the middle. I was getting a bit of oversteer from apex out mainly in the low grip corners. Especially 16. 16 is a bit off camber and the grip is poor on top of it. The oversteer was nothing violent. It was actually a bit fun. Nice to have a car that's not plowing all the way around the track. More camber up front and a square setup may change things a bit but there is plenty of adjustment in the sways.

I was a bit disappointed that the lap times did not reflect any improvement in the car. Lap times on Saturday were about the same as the previous event when the car was stock. I was able to get about a second out on Sunday but the weather conditions were much better (cooler and lower humidity). I was expecting a more measureable improvement. When I put the Ford Performance adjustable handling pack on my 2013 Track Pack car, lap times dropped by almost 3 seconds. I'm wondering if I should have went with the Ford Performance Track Handling pack for this car. I drove Steveespo's car around the paddock at WG and felt that suspension was a bit too stiff for street driving for me. Always a compromise when you want a car to do dual duty. I wish Ford made an adjustable package for the S550 like they did for the S197. I loved that set up.

Next step is more negative camber up front. Tire wear is pretty bad on the outside edge. Camber plates will be my next order. Not sure on what else yet. I don't want to go through 4 suspensions on this car to find the right one.:headbonk: At least camber plates can be moved over if I decide a different shock/spring combo is in order.

Installed the front springs today. Very happy with the results. Also installed them with Maximum motorsports camber plates. So far so good. Improved ride quality. Seems to be well controlled with the PP shocks. I'm sure they will show some lack of control on the edge being under dampened but for a garage queen spirited driving toy it's perfect. Still need to install the rear. But so far so good. Hopefully the front doesn't stand up when the rear drops.

Love the spacer shot. Wow, makes a huge difference both visually and clearance wise. How does it feel before and after spacer installation?

Driving feels the same. No change in handling. What did change was clearance. I no longer slide my jacking rails along the gate guide entering my neighborhood at all. That's crazy how a few mm's change clearance. Basically made the front drop 1.25" and rear 0.5". Looks perfect to me. Will take more pics when I'm off work. These springs have such great firmness and response. I didn't want to get rid of them.
