After installing the 20mm spacers on my front wheels I noticed there’s a gap between the spacer and wheel. Is this bad? Is there something I did wrong?

Somethings not right. The weight of the car is transfered through the mated surfaces drawn down by the studs. You have the weight of the car on the studs. Someone who has these will be able to help, but you shouldn't drive that...

Looks like your rims are hitting against the original studs not letting it mount flush. Maybe?

Exactly, there has to be a way around this though since Steeda made these specifically for mustangs.

Is there any recessed areas on the backside of your wheel hub? If it’s flat or doesn’t have a deep enough recess it probably won’t work with the original studs.

Do you have Magneride? If so, that is your issue. Cars with Magneride have studs that are 5 mm longer in the front, and the pockets in the wheels aren’t deep enough to accommodate.

If you don’t have Magneride, then not sure what the issue is.

Actually, I just noticed you are using 20 mm spacers. Standard studs are 30 mm long (Magneride studs are 35 mm on the front.) so with a 20 mm spacer, wheel pockets need to be 10 to 15 mm deep.

No it’s not safe, all the pressure is on the studs and I can’t imagine that it wouldn’t have a bad vibration or shake when driving

I drove it for a few minutes and it was fine but yea I can see why it’d snap the studs.
I guess I’ll just take them off and just run 25mm in the back

Measure your recessed area depth and see how much you would need to take off the studs for them to fit.
