Hi guys, wanted to provide a bit of additional info from our recent testing. We've had several engineers from Steeda and other partners (best in the industry) from different parts of the country doing extensive suspension testing with us all week.

What we have found is even after torquing the sway bar end link nut to spec, after a couple weeks it still comes loose - we recommend using red loctite to prevent this.

We've been very busy putting our new and existing parts to the test on our test track and at SGMP for the next level of suspension components going into next year.

Also, our new parts will compliment your existing suspension setup very nicely. We've been testing spring rates and multiple variations of shock valving to ensure the best possible performance and ride quality. We've had our springs (and third-party springs) and sway bars in and out of the cars hundreds of times with no clunking or odd noises whatsoever. Be sure to check the upper strut mount and use a pneumatic air gun (not a torque wrench) to ensure it's tight enough by torquing to factory spec in addition to ensuring the end link isn't coming loose.

Do you have a pic of the exact nut you're talking about just so I'm sure?

Go watch the CJ Pony install video.
It's at 1:50

Mine make noise all the time. I am removing them and trying something else. I had a different brand on my first s550 and had zero issues

Did you perform the install yourself? Guys, we have had these in and out of the cars hundreds upon hundreds of times, and they don't make noise when installed correctly. It's not like the springs are coiled differently from one set to the next.

Would you like to speak to one of our techs to troubleshoot?

Is there any chance that a coil could be rubbing on the edge of a spring seat anywhere? That could be a strut issue rather than a spring issue.

Just got home from a long 3 hour work day and pulled the drivers side tire off since that's where I'm hearing things. My swaybar link nut was tight as hell. So I started looking around at things and noticed what looks like a spot at the top of the spring where they look like they have been touching.
Could this be what is causing the noise?

Now if someone is more adventurous than me and has a GoPro, they could mount one up inside the wheel well and watch things under action. After putting all the tools away, it came to me that I should have put something like Whiteout on the spot to verify this happen after the install and it's not just a blemish from manufacturing.
If anyone else has time, pull your wheel and look up at the top coil and see if you have this rub spot.

Can anyone help please?!...

I installed the Steeda sport Progressive springs in the front and rear yesterday.

The instructions say when dealing with the rear "...Re-using the Upper rubber spring seat, install the Steeda spring, making sure pigtails of the spring are in the correct locations."

So... I did not reinstall the lower rubber spring seat. Is that correct!?

I ask because the CJ pony install did reinstall the lower spring seat but he installed the linear springs in that video and not the progressives.

Thanks everyone. Cuz I want to do it right. I need to know if I need to pull it apart and put the lower spring seats in. Thanks

No, you are supposed to reinstall all the rubber seats.

Alrighty. Thanks! Pulled it all apart and back together in about an hour for the rear end this time around.

Appreciate it. It rides so incredible! Very improved stance, predictability, and feel. Looks sinister!

Glad the install is squared away and you're able to enjoy the new springs!

I’ve had Steeda’s progressive springs with their sway bars installed last week, 4 wheel alignment was performed. Braking nose dive is greatly reduced, the bouncy ride is gone and the handling is awesome. The car feels glued to the ground and I still clear all the speed bumps in town, another plus. There is absolutely no noise or clunking under any circumstance, very pleased.

I thought I should upload a picture showing the lowered stance. The avatar is too small to see it nicely. (Yes, that's the Atlantic Ocean in the background looking towards the Bahamas.)

Any thought on this? The sway bar nut... what would happen if it fell out during a ride? Just loss of some handling capabilities or is the whole side gone?

Is it good to use these springs with other suspension parts being stock? I read somewhere that if you just install springs you won't get the full benefit because since the springs and shocks work together, changing your spring rate means you should put different shocks on to match, and bushings I think too. This article was saying that the suspension is several parts working together to produce the ride quality and so "tuning" is important - getting the right mix of all the parts.
