I'm no expert and I don't know the characteristic differences between plates vs. bolts. But I will say this, get one or the other. I lowered mine 1in and saw several sites saying camber adjustability is not needed with this level of drop. The insides of the 2 front tires disagreed and I had to pull everything apart a 2nd time to install. I went with these https://m.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=1639 in the front and these https://m.bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=1909 in the rear.

Toe is the tire killer not camber.
Steeda Ultralite Linear in use for 3 years with no camber plates or bolts.
Just get the toe to near zero. Don’t let the alignment Tech set to factory settings. Use BMR’s street performance spec.

It is strongly recommended to install the 555-8139 Steeda Adjustable Camber plates at the same time - it will save you from having to do everything all over again if there is an issue with getting everything into spec.

From the factory, the OE components are designed without any camber adjustment for alignment purposes.

With the addition of these camber plates, you will be able to dial in precise front suspension camber for each front toe adjustment resulting in a more balanced and predictable vehicle on the street or track. You will notice improved overall handling capabilities, elimination of understeer, and an increase in your Mustang's turn-in response.

At our Steeda shop, every Mustang S550 that we install lowering springs on will also get the Steeda Adjustable Camber plates installed at the same time.

If you have the budget ... then the benefits outweigh not having them at all.

I hope that helps.

What are your alignment specs with the ultralites?

Did you get a print out of your actual alignment?
Yes, 3 years ago.
Maybe I should add that the shop that aligned my S550 doesn’t perform typical alignments. Hitting the green zone is just the beginning for them.

Gotcha. I was just curious where your actual camber specs with no camber plates. I will be purchasing steeda ultralites soon and looking to get around 2 degrees of camber in the front. I would imagine a 1.125 inch drop that the ultralites have in the front would give the car more camber then 1.5 degrees.

just installed steeda minimum drops. stance looks flat. measured 27.5 in from floor to fender on all 4 corners. upgraded from pp1 springset on a 2015 gt premium auto with koni sports. less squat and dive. possibly less roll. strangely it rides smoother now with the stiffer springs? probably the konis do better with a stiffer spring? steering less rubbery. composed and solid feeling. overall highly recommended.
as to camber plate v bolt, i dont know how you could adjust the bolt without taking the wheel off. i mean, how would you reach it? i dont have either and just got the car aligned and am -1.8 front and -1.9 rear which is a little off in front but still acceptable. if my tires wear 5% faster im ok with that.

Wow. Great alignment shop! I wonder what the camber looked like before they adjusted to BMR alignment specs. I guess that was the question I was trying to ask lol

You’ll be shocked
The Before camber was -1.5 to -1.6
Toe before was horrible, -3.5mm ~ -0.6mm
Yes, the shop is GT3 Cup car and NASA certified. Typically the only thing that they’ll rack is track cars only.
Like I mentioned, hitting the green is just the starting point for them. We decided to rack the car and see where it ended up before throwing camber plates at it. It’s a Midwest all weather daily driver so we have reservations on camber plates. Camber bolts were not even on the radar.

What does it cost to have you do this on a 2021 GT?
