What tune did you use? The ProCharger package?
John Lund came in and did a custom tune. He tuned the car on Monday and let it sit overnight and came back Tuesday to do a cold start to check the tune and make adjustments if necessary. The car is running like a clock.

Both systems are safe without changing internals.

HO System has no issues with the 650rwhp mark, nor the STG2
Just make sure to use injectors for that power level.

You can get right at 640-650rwhp with the stock injectors, and no boost-a-pump. However that really is the end of the line :) Just a heads up.

Nobody "NEEDS" ID1000's.
There are lots of injectors that fit, 950s, 1000s, 1270s, 1300s etc.

The ID1000's just seem to be common, because the company made it "easy" on the tuners, but supplying injector data for the ECU. However if your having a custom tuned made you can pick whatever injector you want.

However F1A's are a VERY robust blower for the 800rwhp range. :)
With plenty of room to grow. I bet someone will make that power with the D1SC, just as the C7 that just laid down 837rwhp with a P-1SC-1.

But nothing wrong with the F-1A :)

Stick with injector dynamics. Very few mustang tuners will touch anything that does not have data provided. DW says they provide accurate data but they do not.

You can't go wrong with ProCharger. There are a few of us on here that run the HO Kit on our cars. If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help you. Congrats!

Thats awesome! One would assume you will make an install posting,
but make sure you send me a link so that i can follow the build! :)

Any "good" tuner can tune any injector, no matter if data is supplied or not.
Heck I have been tuning so long the only large injector that existed at the time was the 160lb and 212lb
Which are natural gas injectors from Bosch back in the day.
So talk about a mess trying to get a small little 4.6L to run on those back in the day, let alone a smaller motor.

ID made it "easier" for a tuner to pull and play some data, and get in the ballpark.
However the data isn't really that far off from shall we say "over the counter" standard injectors.
Such as the 950's, 1270's, that can be purchased for a faction of the price. :)

90% of the guys on here have no idea what your talking about when you say 160's ?!?!? What's that. They only know so much from a certain point in time.

I remember the 160's..... Hell my coupe has a set of hand assembled engineering samples in it!!!

Any GOOD tuner can tune ANYTHING no matter what injectors are in it. That statement by "process" is laughable at best. I'd stay AWAY from a tuner that "won't touch anything that doesn't have data provided"

I have ZERO injector data on my 160's and I tune the car just fine with bs3. Maybe I'm a super genius!!!! Or maybe, juuuuust maybe it's not that hard!

There aren't many good tuners tuning mustangs that are willing to touch anything else. Time vs money.
