I checked this out today, SRT had some of the stuff there. Nice car, happy to see it with real brakes and tires, still though, mileage to complain about (gas guzzler tax) and how well can it handle compared to a Mustang? My wife really loves these cars but 10K for 50HP over the Mustang, I'll pass.

Imagine the cupholders in a manual... Pulling a page from Camaros book. Looks over function.

Btw the engine has nothing new. Due to the new Hellcat Dyno They were able to finally truly dyno the 392. The old dyno maxed at 470...ask me how I know.

The only thing that might make then slightly faster is the 8 speed..then there's wheel hop...and quality...

These cars are not the ones we'll be getting into stop light grand prix's with. The Challenger R/T Scat Pack will be a VERY real threat.

485hp, 475tq, 8 speed auto for $38K. With the old A5 they were turning 12.4's @112. I don't think it's gonna be a fair fight stock for stock in a straight line.

Get her into the curves and the S550 will wreck house.

12.4s are hero numbers most normal runs were 12.6 for autos and 12.9-13.2 manuals

Then there's wheel hop

:shrug: I got quoted $38435 by a dealer. I think that comes out as invoice +350

I'm adding in $2000 gas guzzler tax and $2000 auto.

As enticing as the Scat Pack is I don't want an Automatic (only thing making then fast) and the build quality has not improved even 2014s were having problems that were discovered in 2009 and then there's the wheel hop...trust me I would love a B5 blue but my current R/T has 24k miles and feels/sounds like it's falling apart.

Swear I am not trying to poke at you lol.

The SP starts at 38 and with the A8 you skip the GG tax but its a little extra so it comes to 39.8. 6speed with the tax and destination is 39.5. Of course anyone can negotiate after MSRP so it doesnt really count but they have this program where you donate $100 to a charity and you can buy at 1% lower than invoice pricing. So my SP that I ordered will be right at 38.

With the new A8 one member over on CT is getting a consistent 12.2 so I dont know if its really a hero number.

The old A5 normal time was 12.5 or 12.6 but the wheel hop is only an issue on the manual, and they were slower regardless.

Whats wrong with your 14 RT? I have a 13 RT and at 30k miles its running stronger than it ever has.
