Chances are none of us will ever see this or a Hellcat Challenger on the street....

Depending on the area of course....but seriously when was the last time you even saw a Boss or a Shelby?

umm more frequently than you would think actually. Seen several around where I live and see them at least once on a road trip as well as when I visit my Dad in Pasadena MD.

Yeah I get it, some areas more than others, but I doubt there will be a lot of these made/sold to where you see them often.

Could be wrong of course, I don't see many around here (Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater) myself..

lack of visibility might have more to do with owners not driving them as much vs them actually being in your area. I would assume most people that buy these cars aren't using them as a DD. Although, If i had one I would DD the 'F' out of it.

I see a number of GT500's and ZL1's on the east coast.

Of course there is plenty of higher priced metal as well. Saw a Bentley GT convertible coming out of a Target parking lot on Saturday.

Four doors, 707HP, and 204MPH of high performance bliss...plus family ready!

http://www.autoblog.com/2014/08/13/2015-dodge-charger-srt-hellcat-revealed/

Not going to feel real good getting smoked by a four door in my Shelby.

What you got Ford? SRT is on a roll!

From the official Shelby American Facebook page where Jason Haddad posted a comment this Saturday:
Ever heard of the Shelby American Ford Motor Company Special Vehicle Team P V12? It was a high-performance civilian sedan based on the 2001-2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

What was the most powerful sedan of 2003? Kelley Blue Book may be tempted to say it was the L-sized, 469-hp Mercedes-AMG E55 and the XL-sized, 493-hp Mercedes-Benz S600. Well, they're wrong. Also, the Shelby P V12 was the first mass-production American car to produce at least 500 hp (now do not attempt to say that it was the 2003-2006 Dodge Viper). It had a 6.9L V12 which was producing up to 500 hp (even Maybach Manufaktur cars at the time had this kind of power) and even better, 850 lb•ft of torque, yet based on the popular 4.6 V8 (yes, the 2-valve, SOHC "Modular" version, which was producing anywhere between 190 and 260 hp, and from 265 to 300 lb•ft stock).

Although not technically a concept, Shelby American and Ford refused to issue, sell or present the P V12 until reliable source Car and Driver tested it in December 2002. 300 + the last 4 (production + customer-car conversion) units were built during the P V12's entire life — between the 4th quarter of 2002 and September 15, 2011 (extended to December 24, 2013, for customer-car conversion). Chassis number 001 is sitting near the Shelby American headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. In accordance with YouTube User John Zelcs, 002 is in hands of "a very beautiful girl" who was driving the car to the north side of California (with at least 2,500 miles on the odometer).[1] 005 was and is never allowed to be driven and is therefore sitting in the then-obsolete St. Thomas Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada. 006 is hidden inside the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and is only driven once every two years. No records found for the rest; in any case.

It could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, 0 to 100 mph in 8.0 seconsds, complete the 1/4-mile in 12.0 seconds at 124 mph, and reach a maximum speed of 188 mph. Its 149-ft 70-0 braking distance puts the car into supercar territory and beat, for example, the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari's 151 and the McLaren F1's 162. It pulled up to 0.70 g on a 200-ft skidpad.[2] This was done with the 001. And $107,725 in 2002 could get you a brand new P V12.

Can't see the video here at work, is that a legit 1/4 mile pass or a Chrysler marketing video like the Challenger Hellcat?

My guess is they're doing the video as a RESULT of the debacle following the Challenger Hellcat

Funny how they record their times using drag radials. The stock #s probably suck.

Drag racing on street tires is pretty pointless already, doing it with 700hp would be an exercise in futility.
