Hello folks i have a mustang 2015 gt premium & live in Puerto Rico.... so shipping is hella expensive for parts and there aren't almost any locally to buy.

I would like to try out a simple starter's budget mod for it and was thinking about the changing the stock resonator with an X Pipe. I was searching in american muscle site and so the SR X PIPE for $125 (it says free shipping but i doubt it's free outside the local 48? ) shipped to PR 00959 it goes up to $168 shipped 2 days guaranteed apparently.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/sr-performance-xpipe-1516gt.html

Does anybody have this X-PIPE with everything else on stock? I could only hear the video on the same page which seems to add a tad bit of more sound level... same goes for growl.

What do you guys think of this?

Also if there's any other website that sell these and more sound clips of it let me know.

I'm thinking of buying this & use it for some time. Then later buy a an axle back exhaust with it.

It looks like the Lethal Performance one that I have so it'll probably sound similar. Here's a sound clip of theirs with stock mufflers:

Really? how much does that goes for? Defiinately sounds a bit louder and better than stock. Thank you....

Btw any other alternative that comes even close to the price of these SR's X pipes?

That one is $240. CJ Pony Parts has one for $120 as well but I don't have any experience with it.

I got this one but regret it. It does not have the flared ends to slide over the old pipes. Get the J&M or lethal performance X-pipe.

What do you mean?? they gotta expand the ends for it to fit? i'm taking it to a muffler shop anyways not going to do it my self but it would be more expensive then right?

Can i get a link to these x-pipes you mentioned... i found the LTH but not the J&M

They'll all sound nearly identical in person.

The good ones are 2.5" ID at the back end to create a lap joint to clamp over. The SR one does not. If you're going to have a muffler shop do it, you can have them weld it. The J&M one can be done easily on jack stands. Either way the J&M is of made from higher quality steel.

I'll forget about the SR then.. & yes the muffler shop would still do it but i would prefer that it would fit inside and weld for a stronger union than the SR since you can't fit them inside. Also have the option to just use clamps if i change my mind. I see the J&M is 304 steel too like you said which is better.

I want to buy this one now...

Do you have any alternative seller or place where i could order this?

The seller shipping price is UPS ground for $149.99 which is outrageous...

American muscle or CJ is around $35-$45 for shipping

Thanks for the useful information if you or anybody can get where else they sell these i could check on shipping with them

Thank you very much!

The Lethal Performance H or X pipes use the OEM style band clamps. The H or X pipe is not flared, but flush with the OEM exhaust pipe, and the clamp goes over both and hold them together.

That one doesn't use a flared joint either ... same setup as the Lethal Performance with the flush but joint with long band clamps.

The Lethal Performance video earlier in this thread was with the H-pipe.

X-pipes are always more "raspy" than H-pipes. If you don't want raspy, best to get an H-pipe instead.
