Did this just 2 days ago. I have stock mufflers and there seems to be very little increase in the noise level. It seems a little louder at first startup and at idle, a good rumble, but so little that it is hardly noticeable. With hard acceleration the engine noise and the exhaust seem to match each other. The X-Pipe seems to have balanced the exhaust instead of hearing 2 4-cyclinder engines. Acceleration seems faster using the SotP (Seat of the Pants) accelerometer. I know it is very subjective, but I would swear that the car does accelerate quicker. Also, the car came with a AFe Momentum Cold Air intake and filter. When I bought the car 3 weeks ago it had straight exhaust, yes, straight pipes from the CATS straight out the back. I just could not tolerate the droning at speed and the popping on deceleration! I could hardly hear myself think! To me the car sounded trashy instead of the classy that it is. Stock mufflers sound great! IMHO!
